For me no one is a greater singer than late rafi ji. Though I belong to the current generation but grew up listening to his songs. Today's singers are all noise and no voice but in older times voice was prominent. Whether it was a romantic song, a sad song, or a bhajan no one could sing like him.
Of course, Lata ji is my favorite Indian female singer, but honestly she is not near Rafi. Just listen the same song of Lata version and Rafi version. Perhaps you will realise the difference.
