There's something else that I think makes Trips TE so good: the overloading alignment of the formation makes it a little easier to figure out what type of coverage the defense is in.

exactly, also running trips to the short side can open up shot plays and torch cover 3 and cover 2

Civ, appreciate you teaching madden so consistently. I’d love more formation breakdowns even some off meta. I think if Madden adopts CFBs custom stem depths it’s going to add a ton of formations to being viable

I hate trips TE cause it messes up my defenses alignment. And God forbid my opponent flips and quick hikes. I lose WR sometimes and leave someone naked
