When will Ubisoft realize that they can also buff underpowered operators alongside nerfing overpowered once. I feel like siege is 90% nerfs and 10% buffs.

I stopped playing Siege partly because of this. I wasn't having fun with any operator because Ubisoft nerfs good operators too much.

She was broken and needed to be fixed due to how op she was, but they pulled a Nøkk and made her just as useful as the Italians were to the axis powers in ww2.
Plus they straight up lied while doing it, saying that the only thing they would do this season was going to be removing her gadget during prep phase. They said nothing about removing impacts or nerfing the duration/range. The Italy analogy killed me though lmao

This solis nerf really shows how strange Ubi’s balancing methods are. In Valorant, if an agent releases as broken as Solis, they start getting tuned from the next season onward, sometimes even during the mid season. And they gradually get nerfed more and more until they hit a sweet spot.
Ubi just waits 2 years and says “Hey what’s on the agenda again? Oh people are complaining about Solis? Just uh… give her like 4 nerfs and we’ll call it a day.”
Reason I hate playing siege when new ops get released they are too op and you barely get to use them till they get their first nerf
or how they handled KJ, she was the strongest sentinel for a while but no one said she needed a nerf, so the devs simply buffed other sentinels to give people more viable options

All they had to do was remove prep phase availability, not the range, duration and having to wait until it's full to use and even her impacts, typical ubi fasion, instead of balancing all ops they nerf one all the way to the grave to unplayable status
Solis finding drones was the only problem. Makes no sense to remove impacts

I usually saw a solis almost every game but as soon as I played the new season not a soul played as her.
"Solis can't roam", she's still the single best operator for avoiding attacker drones, the whole reason she got nerfed this hard in the first place was because she completely eclipsed Pulse and Vigil, with these nerfs she's in line with the 2 of them. I do think they should let her use her gadget at any charge though, that one is unnecessary.
imo the idea of not being able to use it when it's not fully charged has to be the worst part of it, since you can still just pull out a gun instead of using her impacts which can sometimes be even more impactful than the impacts
but the fact you have to wait like actually forever until you can pull the gadget back out since it has a slow recharge time sounds like a much worse nerf

I would use Outplayed but it actually sucks on its default r6 settings. Make sure to change the settings or it’ll only record half of the match. Oh and make sure you keep the storage for it available or it’ll spam the shit out of you with notifications asking for more storage space. 😂

i mean i accidentally equipped the universal america skin from deadly omen battlepass last season on all my guns on accident, so i bought arctic as a temporary replacement and i use it if i dont have a black ice or something

Good to see less of her for sometime, denying info from attack is so strong and such a pain in the butt for them; she shined in multiple situations by being able to counter almost half of the attackers and having a strong loadout; Ppl who want Solis to be strong at denying plant should consider playing pulse.

@@jayphillips4167 I’ve always run the shotgun because she has the smg11 anyway so the p90 is useless. The impacts only do 40 damage now so good luck trying to kill someone with them when 2 pumps from the shotgun through the ceiling will finish the job.
They could have just made it so it was only specific gadgets, but seeing every single gadget including bomb was and still is ridiculous. Having IQ for defence is a dumb idea because IQs entire weakness is forcing herself into enemy territory. Solis has home field advantage and no downsides to her power. They over nerfed, but id argue she should have never even been designed and put into the game. She is horribly designed from the ground up.
I feel like a nerf was needed, but the nerfs they gave her was way too much and things that didn't need to be removed. I think just a reduced time on her gadget, and can't see as far. Thats it! Her impacts don't make sense when you have pulse who does the same thing, though he can't see defuse he can still below C4 plant or a really good Valk can. I think her impacts are a little OP, but if there is a pulse I just plant on a table, or a Solis downstairs.. I plant on a table. What im saying is that there are so many ways to deny defuse, not just pulse or valk or echo. It's not too hard to avoid in a actual game though. I think her original gadget nerfs were enough, but now almost no operators have damn impacts.
It’s a tremendous nerf but she could do everything. Now she is more of a support anchor. I think giving her c4 would be could do she’s more versatile and so you can still play like old solis
so shes getting nerfed because she can do the same thing echo, and zofia for attackers can do. poeple like moz, valk, pulse can all plant deny from below completely solo so why cant she. the impact removal was the dumbest thing ever. they should give impacts back and add prox alarms. keep the shortened duration for her ability but shorten the recharge time. her only problem was prep phase drone hunting. its always been a thing to clear down stairs plant denial with pulse, valk and echo.
Just don't be on her abilty as much when looking for plant. You don't have to be on the abilty for the full duration to watch for plant. Be on for 2 seconds, wait 3 seconds to use abilty. Be on for 2 seconds and move around, be off for 3 secods and wait for cooldown. Sure she got nerfed but it's not insane

I think it should be mentioned that part two is supposed to be a buff. They stated that part 2 they are enhancing her scanning capabilities for whatever that means. But they only talked about about enhancing solis with her part 2, dont thing they said anything about more nerfs

If they wanna make her useful but not broken they could give her ability to use it without the the gadget being at max and maybe even buff the time to 15 seconds instead of 10
The nerf was somewhat needed, but like why wait till the recharge is full to reuse and keeping impact was the only thing soils had left after that gadget nerf hit hard. It's not a skill that doesn't help much in a gunfight either.

they need to nerf kali being able to shoot through the airplane windows.... that shit pisses me off. they can take out an entire team by staying outside. literally no other op can shoot through the window even if we shoot at it long enough or if we are super close and shotting so why is she the only one that has that ability?

I still play solis when my teammates are using a lot of gadgets so that i can get the twitch and brava drones. Shes also still good at getting free kills on people who are droning

If you see a solis on their team, lets go clear the lower floor first. Upper too depending on the floor you're actually after.
Just plan around sweeping with the boiis for roamers before planting.
I personally think the game could continue thriving if ubisoft wakes up and listens to the community, focusing on the game's health rather than cash grabs and temporary fixes like the membership.
That’s just how you’re supposed to play the game competitively anyways? Clear non objective floors with squad, force roamers back to site, open site, win
the game will deff last longer than y10. i personally think it wont get past y13-14 if ubisoft keeps ignoring players

Normal devs: Solis is a bit too strong, so we're reducing her range and duration
Ubi: Solis is a bit too strong, so we're deleting 11 different things from the game to turn her completely inviable

if it wasn't for impact nerf i wouldn't care but its like impacts are now ass you can't kill even a 1 armor op with two of them right in their face, which is good becasue using impact for VERY reliable kills from below was annoying and not fun to play against, using them to deal with shield ops or deny brachers or make rotates is a lot better you want to kill people take a nitro cell.
anyway if they didn't nerf impacts i think it would be fine to remove them from solis but this is a nerf on top of a nerf, cant wait for her to have only observation blockers for next patch.
