Got mine, now I carry it with my firearm and my CCW permit. Wish I had this as a backup when I was working the road. The sheath and the clip are amazing designs in and of themselves. Great craftsmanship all the way around.
Hopefully no one needs to warranty their knife in 12 years or so. I have a 2008 Ultratech, I called asking about paying them to replace the blade and broken main spring. They won't do it because it's too told. So apparently "lifetime" really means "until we change the geometry" or "until we decide it's too old". I distinctly buying a product with a lifetime warranty. I have other Microtechs that old and older that are still operating, so they're still within their lifetime. I've spent thousands on Microtech products and was about to spend more. However, I will NEVER purchase another one of their products again after the girl I talked to told said they can't help me.
That's really odd, I would try again. I just got approved to send in my '11 scarab 1. They said it would take upwards to 6 wks. But they were willing to look at it at least:/ I'm sorry man I would stubbornly trying on
Pretty cool concept with the right mind set and use it could be a very helpful tool and easily looked over by thieves if it was left in a car.

Looks like it would work great for flatting tires. Also you have the glass breaker. You could really disable a vehicle pretty fast with a few of theses. Not sure why you would need to maybe tactical denial or something.
Stabbing an inflated tire isn't the smartest thing to do. Might be alright on regular vehicles, but you can get seriously injured on tires with higher pressure.
There was one video, which was all I needed to see, of some dude stabbing a tire of a semi truck. Not sure if he used a knife or screw driver or what (couldn't really tell, terrible footage quality) but it fucked his arm all up. Bleeding very bad. Not sure what happened to the guy but he was fucked.

I bought this baby a few months ago to carry on my pistol belt for work. Along with either my combat troodon's, dirac delta, troodon or ultratech in my right pocket. P.S I am a meter maid bwahaha!!! But in all seriousness I carry it on my left side just in case someone tries to grab me from behind or something like that. Prooobably never happen but I like to be prepared.

It's cool but it needs to be made out of better steel which would probably drive the cost up to something unreasonable. All I know is if that tip hits concrete or something hard it's going to just get demolished.
Yeah this would look at lot better at like 100 made of d2 or powder steel.
Why exactly would you hit a piece of concrete or something hard with this? That is like saying if I hit a piece of concrete with my expensive knife edge it will chip. Well no shit it will chip. These are meant for human flesh not construction demolition.

I bought one of these off a reseller and it’s been in Canada customs for like 18 days, all my other knives including my recently puchased bm87 and bm175 push dagger got through in like two days.... maybe because this thing just looks so vicious they stopped it.... that or an agent pocketed it lol.

Is this considered a knife? I live in a free state as far as guns and OTF but I’m wondering if this will be a good replacement tool for dumb states that don’t allow certain length of knifes or even places in the world that don’t allow knifes at all. Food for thought

I'm surprised people are asking what it's for if they like Microtech knives which are fighting knives.
Microtech knives are NOT fighting knives. At least not their OTF's. Maybe their regular folders could be but OTF's are one of the weakest types of folding knives.

In the video of you guy penetrating the Tac-P into gel I wish you guys would have shown you thrusting it into a tree as well to emulate hitting a human rib. Gel only reflects fat and muscle not bones. If I'm pumping it into someone's center mass like a jack hammer I want to know my hands not going to slide down even if I won't get cut, I still don't want to have to regrip it in combat. If this is the case I'd recommend people that get the Tac-P to tightly wrap hockey stick/sports tape around the handle for like five to fifteen layers that way it will give you more traction as well as more surface area for one to hold onto.

Hm.dont get me wrong.. I love microtec products but i dont think this tool make sense. No handguard and nothing else than round steel to hold on. May its a lot more effective than a tactical pen but. No grip no handguard .even if its not about cutting yourself it keeps your hand in place and you have higher pressure. And to keep the thump in the correct position to have enough piercing power.. In a fight?!?! With bones and motion and someone tarketing you. I dont know.. I am relay sceptical. If you are not looking like the hulk and have a handgrip like a armwrestler.. And if you are about to pierce anyway and may create lethal damage.. Then why you dont use a knife in the first place. 🤔
