Martinelli is a gem. This kid is something special and has everything it takes to become a superstar. What a player we have in our hands and hopefully we hold onto him for many years to come. Remember his first few games in an Arsenal first team shirt. We were waiting to see how good he was after doing really well in the youth teams. Remember him scoring away at a big Spanish or Portuguese club club once which was awesome. Had a good partnership with Smithy and Wrighty. Was a shame to see him moved on from Arsenal.

Funny how a lot of Arsenal fans have been crying out for some fast athletic centre backs - Last night If we had 2 centre backs with pace and one of them made the same mistake Mustafi made they would have the speed to recover the situation. Thats why i'm such an advocate for a team to have pace throughout. Its as important in defence than it is in attack.
@@AsHu_Omni its also one of the reasons why the Invincibles first team was so good - it had pace throughout, they were lightning on the counter and very difficult to get in behind. Thinking about it the slowest guy in that first team was an ageing Bergkamp who made up for the lack of pace for having the smartest footballing brain on the pitch.....tbf Bergkamp wasn't even that slow!

Its important that Arteta realizes that learns from Klopp as much as he learnt from Pep. Excellent points regarding Ozil. His stats since Jan 2018 prove hes not good enough. For me, he lacks the strength to interchange with the 2 midfielders behind him, collect the ball and drive with it to create defense splitting passes. Hence why you're seeing more long balls from the back. The front 3 are bereft of chances cos of Ozil!

absolutely. One of the reasons Liverpool is so good is because they have fast athletic high intensity players who can do it for 90 mins.

Pepe should replace Ozil in the #10 position, he can receive and drive forward.
