Thanks so much for posting as always guys. Am particularly interested in Steve line of questioning regarding possible guilt. I’m writing a book on soothing very similar so would be interested to hear more about this. Hopefully see you guys soon and will bring some questions maybe 😊
Her friend seemed to be more interested in talking! 😂 It’s seemed like she is from India and millions of cows roam the streets there because they cannot be legally killed and are business liabilities for the dairy farmers due to the dairy demand. So anyone paying for dairy is directly paying for it. I’m vegan since more than 6 years and mostly vegetarian all my life but hardly eat soy … although don’t know what conditions she has but people can use legumes and supplements (which people might already be taking in terms of fortified foods or vitamin D in northern world) like B12 and vitamin D is not in sun.
Steve taking no nonsense haha good stuff. Unfortunately sometimes being made to feel uncomfortable about things we know aren't right but because others do the same things we never question ourselves properly
I honestly cannot wrap my head around the fact that people feel bad eating animals, when biologically - we are designed to eat them (hence vegans having to take B12 supplement’s). Ever seen a person that has been vegan since childhood? They look unwell. It is also terrible for your teeth (dental nurse, so I can confirm). Also, why would you choose a diet that restricts animal products and then buy and eat meat substitutes? Your body is clearly trying to tell you that you need meat if you’re eating meat substitute…
1) Humans have 98.3% of the same DNA as gorillas. The gorillas diet is 98% from plants, and 2% comes from ants, termites, and snails. Despite all the carnivore talk about the red meat "ancestral" human diet, humans throughout history very likely had a diet much closer to that of gorillas. 2) There were more non-animal sources of B12 for humans prior to industrialized farming. Nowadays meat eaters also supplement their B12 because the B12 in the animals they eat comes from lab produced B12 that is fortified in the feed of those animals. That's because cobalt in pasture and grain producing soils has been largely depleted, so animals used for human food make a lot less B12 (cobalamin) in their intestinal tract from natural sources. 3) Non-vegans take a lot more supplements overall than vegans. Food from plants is less energy dense, more nutrient dense, and has ample fiber, which feeds the gut microbiome, which supports the immune system and brain (Dr Will Bulsiewicz). Western non-vegan diets are very fiber deficient. 4) Non-vegans often make lame and meaningless attacks, like: "Ever seen a person that has been vegan since childhood? They look unwell." Is that one supposed to be persuasive? And as a dental nurse, do you inquire about the diet of patients? And do you keep data proving your weak assertion? ... just more dubious nonsense. If you want to make a legitimate point, cite some actual research instead of taking the lazy route. 5) The meat substitutes you fret about are not Group 2A (red meat) or Group 1 (processed meat) carcinogens. The substitutes are completely optional and a lot of non-vegans eat them too. What is your scientific evidence that "Your body is clearly trying to tell you that you need meat if you’re eating meat substitute." That's just another assertion with no merit. But it just kinda makes sense, if you don't think about it, huh. Or maybe it's just that people who grew up with meat but don't want to impose exploitation and abuse on animals enjoy having that choice now and then. Why do you continue to pay for imposing exploitation and abuse on animals? Pleasuring one's mouth apparatus with animal flesh seems like a kind of perversion to me.
We are not biologically designed to eat animals. Also, we all have biases. Are only vegans going to the dentist? Are they the only people having issues... My hygienist told me most people that go to the clinic are nonvegan. She also said that the vegans one that go are the ones that have issues with their teeth. It makes me wonder, do most of the patients have no issues... Coz it sure looked like all the patients were not there just for fun. But sure, let's say it's possible that most vegans have issues with their teeth, it's possible. It's also possible that there's some bias there. It might be for other reasons but whatever the root cause, it's not a good practice to "pre-diagnose" someone and much less a whole group of people. It prevents the person from actually solving the issue. Whatever that issue is.
@@veganforlife5733 Gorillas eat a lot of animals. We also have a very different digestive system with more acidic stomach acid. Yes that's why I'm not vegan, there is no guilt for wanting to be healthy

Thanks so much for posting as always guys.
Am particularly interested in Steve line of questioning regarding possible guilt. I’m writing a book on soothing very similar so would be interested to hear more about this. Hopefully see you guys soon and will bring some questions maybe 😊
This is Joel from WTF Southampton btw ☺️
Her friend seemed to be more interested in talking! 😂
It’s seemed like she is from India and millions of cows roam the streets there because they cannot be legally killed and are business liabilities for the dairy farmers due to the dairy demand.
That's ok but can he make a change 🤔
💚💚💚💚
You can’t force empathy.
I’m 36 and I never felt bad for eating animals
