Agree with what rahul said, just a point tho, he could be better at rebutting the points made by the Rajnath singh. 1. Agniveer will be paid compensation in state of war, which is not usually the case. 2. No pension will be given to 75% of them 3. In us and Uk this scheme is called tour of duty, you cannot compare Uk and us with india with totally different demographics economic situations and the way they see the army. People in india join the army (being very frank here) as they don’t have a lot of other opportunities in the civil sector. Yes they do love the country and will die for it but a major factor is the economics behind it. Another thing I’d add is that imagine a agniveer on the frontline, he knows there is death in front and life behind him, will he stand his ground as fiercely as he would if he knew that after his supreme sacrifice his family will be taken care of his daughters future taken care of and not be left behind without an earning member in the family. I know i would think twice. I have few more very deep and major points which I’ll keep forward if you guys wanna know. This plan (agniveer) will severely hinder our armed forces fighting capability and what Indian armed forces are known best for, our incredibly disciplined and skilled soldiers.
Aware all agniveers to run away from gun fights, it isn't worth to sacrifice one's life or be patriotic for just a 4 years service with minimal benefits. Their youths being stolen and the brain/cognitive ability shaped like a stone. Revenue expenditure (Salaries + pensions +maintainence of Military equipment) is taking away more than 3/4th of defence budget. Military is left with no money to buy equipment to fight 500Billion Dollars Chinas Military . Ours is 72Billion. To get more money to spend on equipment , to reduce long term pension bill......Agniver scheme was devised
Modi administration mismanaged economy so have to spend 2.36 lakh core on food ration 81.5 crore Indians. After so much spend, there is no money for defense. So most of defence budget is spend on salary and pension. That's why Government introduced Agniveer - to save money on salary and pension and also on recruitment as only 25% Agniveer continue after 4 years.
So that we can have more younger soldiers cause they adapt faster. But i agree agniveer needs some changes but the initiative is marvellous. Opposition should suggest something fruitful so that this scheme can be perfected
No serving soldier would claim that on any media platform unless approved by the Defence itself. So, don’t try to garner sympathy for your point in the name of a serving soldier.

My friend who is the daughter of a navy officer, explained me about Agniveer and I could not even understand for a few mins as to why Agniveer was even created! Agniveer can be viable in Army but not in the Air Force and Navy especially in the technical stream. No one can have better understanding about the negative impact of this scheme on the defense organisation except the technical staff at lower end. No one seating at the peak wants to say the truth because of his personal lust and greed.

I don't know about him but most of the comments such as this one is IT cell's work. My little brother became an agniveer last year and he feels fortunate to be a part of it.
Career prospects gets a solid boost and the way he has developed in last 1/1.5 year is amazing as well. Although he does mention that a few people are worried for their career going forward but abhi to log niklnge. Also asaan ho gya hai pehle se, so mostly log jo complain kr rahe hai unka agniveer se pehle shayd hota bhi nhi.

1. Agniveer will be paid compensation in state of war, which is not usually the case.
2. No pension will be given to 75% of them
3. In us and Uk this scheme is called tour of duty, you cannot compare Uk and us with india with totally different demographics economic situations and the way they see the army. People in india join the army (being very frank here) as they don’t have a lot of other opportunities in the civil sector. Yes they do love the country and will die for it but a major factor is the economics behind it. Another thing I’d add is that imagine a agniveer on the frontline, he knows there is death in front and life behind him, will he stand his ground as fiercely as he would if he knew that after his supreme sacrifice his family will be taken care of his daughters future taken care of and not be left behind without an earning member in the family.
I know i would think twice.

To get more money to spend on equipment , to reduce long term pension bill......Agniver scheme was devised
Modi administration mismanaged economy so have to spend 2.36 lakh core on food ration 81.5 crore Indians. After so much spend, there is no money for defense. So most of defence budget is spend on salary and pension. That's why Government introduced Agniveer - to save money on salary and pension and also on recruitment as only 25% Agniveer continue after 4 years.
So that we can have more younger soldiers cause they adapt faster. But i agree agniveer needs some changes but the initiative is marvellous. Opposition should suggest something fruitful so that this scheme can be perfected

Agniveer can be viable in Army but not in the Air Force and Navy especially in the technical stream. No one can have better understanding about the negative impact of this scheme on the defense organisation except the technical staff at lower end. No one seating at the peak wants to say the truth because of his personal lust and greed.
