The launch sequence of this game NEVER fails to get me to tear up...what I wouldn't give to have ridden on the Saturn V...or just ride to space in general
In reality the capsule's windows were covered until the Boost Protective Cover was jettisoned along with the Launch Escape System several minutes into the flight. This is evident from the audio where at 13:34 Mike Collins says "you finally gave me a window to look out (of)".

Yeah the LAS (including the shell of the control module of course) would de-attach at T + 2 minutes 30 seconds.
It's more an educational tool than a game.

This VR experience was amazing I felt like i was there, so cool, hope you enjoyed it as much as me. There's an ISs one aswell that you can float around in and Spacewalk aswell.
I enjoyed this experience so much. Love the Easter Egg in the distant crater. ( free roaming mode ) Cried when watching the LM blast off from the moon - I'm left behind!!!!
seems to feel like Armstrong, in fact probably better, in his day they had to settle for the Nevada desert ;)
A wonderful VR game, I recommend playing it if you ever get the chance. This video is good, but it's nothing like actually playing.
38:13 New Conspiracy Theory: There was an alien on the moon but the astronauts pretended that it wasn't there and continued on with their mission.

@@iTube4U A bunch of Apollo astronauts did it. There was P65 which would have automated the landing, but no astronauts ever used it, always switching instead to P66, so that they could land manually.
@@SweetBearCub i did land couple of times in it but only after trying like 15 times , the problem is there is no real guide of what to do as the game requires specific maneuvers which it doesn't provide tutorial to

It's because it's VR. It's kind of weird to watch flat. Essentially your seeing the head movements of the person wearing the headset.
