I had a Stombecker 1/32 scale Monza slot car track back in the day. It was loads of fun! It's amazing what the new digital track layouts and cars can do now. Your track layout is the setup I've dreamed about since those old Strombecker days in my youth...well done, absolutely superb! This inspires me to possibly get back into the hobby. Thanks for sharing!
Mr. Ramsey, I happened across your video earlier today, great layout! Very visually detailed, which I bet makes for some great fun with friends and family. The size and features are amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Whatever your work is in life , you do a great job ! Because you did not cut a single corner. Great great job . And it for sure at 140 ft. Is a great track to race on . Keep up the amazing work 👍.
Your set-up didn't turn out okay. It is totally AWESOME! !! SIR, YOU DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB. I LOVED THE TRACK LAYOUT AND SCENERY. YOU ARE A TRUE ARTIST. THANK YOU FOR SHARING. BY FAR THE BEST SLOT CAR VIDEO ON YOU TUBE.
@@MrAramsey4979 challenge creates more fun cause it pushes you to focus more... Winning easy is no fun, but a challenging track creates better races and you also got some seriously long straights to pick up speed.. Very large yet we'll balanced track.. I am working on one but due to space limitations will need to use the best way possible a table top of about 8ft x 4ft, so probably will build a 2 layer one to get more track length..
You have a beautiful layout I hope you start putting some videos up while you're racing. I just got finished putting my wood track out in the trash I'm prepping the platform now to go Carrera digital I should have a 50 foot straight away
All I did was print off the ads from a free website. cut out the signs I wanted and cut them to size. Went to a fedex store and laminated them. I bought some thin metal rods from a local hobby store, cut them to the length i wanted and glued them to the laminated signs. It probably cost $10 for everything. Easy to do but they turned out well
Awesome track! Congratulations, how do you manage to keep the power so stable over the length of the track? Have you run power extenders? Would love some feedback from you on this.
Robert, thank you. I used track clips to ensure all my track is properly assembled, Secondly, I have a jumper line. I used to have about 5 but realized I don't need them. My track has pretty uniform power throughout. Anthony
Hello Anthony,I am get into the hobby and came across your video.Very Nice layout and i would like to get any info on it in regards to parts list or layout plan.
Awesome layout and great detail...Nice job Anthony! I've got several totes full of Carrera track, cars, and more that have been in storage for about 15 years. I am getting ready to purchase the parts necessary to add the Digital functionality and build a new track (first one since 2002). I agree with your comment about the Woodland Scenics trees. I have several Fly, Ninco, Carrera, and other analog cars of which a few I plan on converting to Digital but I would like to leave the majority of the Fly cars analog. Did you build or buy the Analog/Digital switch box? Could you provide the details on the "black box". I'll post the creation of my track on my channel once I start (should be around September/October). Thanks again for the great video.
Thank you again for the comments. I bought the box from a guy I met through a mutual friend. I don't know how he did it but another good friend of mine just implemented duality into his Carrera system by using both the digital control track and an evolution control track on the same layout and utilizing kill switches that converts to either digital or analog. At some point, I can have him convey to you how he did it. He did it cheaply and it works great.
@@MrAramsey4979 Thanks for the reply Anthony. I've done some research into the switching necessary to run analog OR digital cars on a Carrera Digital layout (primarily slotcarillustrated forum - www.slotforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50206). The switching is fairly simple (a single 4PDT 3-position switch ON-OFF-ON). However, some mention that the pit lane and lane change sections need to be isolated when running in digital mode. Did you have to do anything special to your pitlane and/or lane change sections in your layout?
Wow man that’s fantastic your workmanship is unreal Mate!! Well done 👍🏽 hey you said your new to slotcar? What was the determining factor to go with Carrera?? My friend
Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate them. Regarding selecting Carrera, I watched a lot of youtube videos explaining the differences in brands, track quality, accessories, availability of products and car reputation. Carrera came out on top in my mind. Their technology is the best, track quality is superior also. Their cars are not necessarily the best in terms of speed but quality and detail of their liveries is excellent. I'm very pleased I chose Carrera digital. Thanks again.
Thanks for the kind words...no I didn't secure the track to the table. I inset the track into foam and secured it with aquarium sand and Elmers glue. It's really a press fit. It's so secure, it's hard to pull up.
@@MrAramsey4979 Not currently. A lot of slot stuff all boxed up in a spare room. I dream of having a big space (and the dedication) to have a circuit like yours.
@@Nick_R_ I got my introduction to slot car racing watching a Slot Mod video on UA-cam. I didn't know anything about slot cars. I did some research and found out the company was located near where I live. I called and the owner answered the phone and I found out we were both automotive engineers and he was really a great guy. Unfortunately his layouts start at around $30,000! So option B was to watch train layout videos to learn how to do a layout. That was roughly 3 1/2 years ago and I've been hooked ever since. In closing, find something that inspires you and go for it.
One of the finest layouts I've seen yet. Awesome job!

Just saw this video and wanted to say 'wow', that is an amazing layout.. Great job, I can imagine how fun it would be competing on such a track..
Thanks Gordon. People tell me that it is really fun but challenging to race on. I wanted the right combinations of straights and curves.
