I guess the internet decided it was Danganronpa's time? I mean Among Us existed for 3 years before becoming popular... as for me I've only known about Danganronpa for a year and my friend who introduced me to it has a habit of over complicating things so I decided to check it out for myself... one happy havoc later I can officially say I'm hooked
Maybe that Danganronpa is everywhere now because what ive seen recently that even some (Bijue Mike and Jay from the Kubz Scouts) popular youtubers have never played the game or heard about it. Until, their subscribers tell them about it. But, other than that, that's what I know. This is probably one reason or that the series isn't dead.

Actually if its THIS year that a lot of more new youtuber played the game is because in may it was the 10th anniversary of the game series and spike chunsoft (those who created Danganronpa) made promotions on the games and 4 live (for now) on Danganronpa out of 5
