Nearly 70 years ago my Mom brought home a puppy for me. I’ve had a dog, or two or three, ever since. My children grew up with those dogs and now have dogs of their own. Can’t imagine a life without one. Loved seeing the beginning of all these life long friendships. Thank you.

I saw another video about five years ago. A dog taught its baby sister how to play hide and seek. The parents said in the video they didn't even know their child understood the game! The dog would use the coffee table to start out slowly, running around the table and gently barking to get the baby's attention. Then it went up to hiding around the furniture. The parents posted one update video. The baby and dog now play hide and seek all over the house!

Got my son a female pitty when he was 18 months, when he started walking she would help him. But if any adult went to close she would step in front. As he got to be 4or 5 the neighbors kids would play in the yard with her off leash. No adults came across the line of the drive way lol. Very soft and gentle highly intelligent, if an adult put a hand on a child she would very gently take your wrist and remove your hand. When playing at the school she loved kids but if she heard a cry boom she would go make sure the kid wasn't being hurt. The school liked her very friendly. On and off leash. But you don't touch the kids. Sandy was her name.
That sounds great. No one should touch the kids and she made sure.

"Patting dogs
You can show your child how to pat a dog safely using the following steps. You might need to show your child how to do this several times:
Teach your child to avoid direct eye contact with dogs when approaching them.
Walk towards the dog and its owner so they can see you coming. Stop 3 big steps away from the dog.
Always ask for the owner’s permission for your child to pat the dog or get your child to ask, and wait for the owner to say yes. This is important even if your child knows the dog.
Approach the dog calmly, and take a curving path towards it. Don’t move straight towards the dog.
Let the dog smell the back of your child’s hand - curl your child’s hand into a fist so the thumb is tucked inside the fingers.

I grew up with a dog, he died when we were 14. A teacher at school asked me what was wrong the next day and when I told him he sent me home. Was the worst day of my life up to that point.

All were adorable. That little Yorkie in the dolly stroller touched me. We had a little Yorkie who his entire life was proof a Yorkie can be a wonderful family pet with young children. My daughter took him sledding she would wrap a scarf around him and down the hill they went. He'd bounce right back up to do it again. They would come back in he had so many mini snowballs in his fur he would go lay down right in front of the woodstove to warm up. They did everything together. He was a puppy mill rescue. He had a heart murmur. He was puppish until that last year. On Thanksgiving 2020 i woke to find him looking asleep on his pillow. He was the best of little dogs. We were devastated my daughter most of all. We have 3 little girl puppies now and for her Graduation present Buddy the Maltese poodle mix. He is a happy goofball. We love our doggies but Snoopy will always have a bit of our hearts.
