It does stop the sock from slipping, which is quite nice, as that could be annoying. I definitely wouldn't consider playing without it.

The professionals use the thin model when breaking in their new boots and then when it's time for a game they switch to the cushion version.
If you are choosing between the two I would go for the Cushion version, as I think they are more versatile and work great for me in any case.

Always, always and always. Love them to bits, no matter how good your boot fits, if you play for long periods of time, you can get blisters. Trusox prevents this from happening on top of them giving added grip. ¨

Any form of tape is perfectly fine, it really is just to stop the sock from slipping around and causing irritation. If the tape is strong enough to do that, it will do the job.

Well, it's a subjective matter as reviews in general are based on personal opinions and experiences. Therefore it's hard to decide which review is the better, as it highly depends on your preconception of the product. If you're hoping for it to be absolutely off the hook and your hear us thrashing it, but your hear someone else praising it, well you opt for the latter review as it's what you wanted to hear ;)

That does sound like a size issue, where the the squares get mushed together. Normally they flatten themselves out, so they support, rather than glue and pull.

The Trusox loose a lot of their effect, if they do not have direct contact between the boot and foot at the same time. It also depends quite a bit on how large the ankle band is and if it covers a lot of the bottom of the foot. If it's not too bad I would still recommend them, because they are really good.

I have used Trusox for more than 6 months now and I have after numerous washes not really felt a deterioration in quality, so personally for me I don't think they get less grippy.
My theory is that whoever felt that way, has gotten used to Trusox, you only really feel the difference they make, once you play in something other than Trusox.

I'm going to call it a personal preference. I personally believe that tape is a tad more comfortable, but I'm sure there's plenty waiting to argue the other way. Anyways, go for what you feel suits you best :)

No, they lose much of their effect if you put another pair of socks on either side, as this means the sock is not gripping both the foot and the boot.

You probably could, but it's still better with tape, as it won't slide under any circumstances, where the Shin guard stays might be prone to move about and cause irritation.

Well, then you should try out the Premier Sock Tape Pro Wrap, that doesn't stick to your socks and therefor doesn't mess them up the same way :)

Have you seen his reviews of actual boots? When it comes to those I think he does an even better job because he shows us the use of the boot and I think he goes more in depth with the boot technology and explains a little better than Josh.

The problem is many youth leagues won't allow you to wear any other sock than just the team sock
Luke Pilarski It is possible to buy, for example my team socks is yellow, so I can buy yellow trusox. If your team socks is red, you can buy red trusox. Trusox comes in many other colours as well.

Wat type of trusox did u use,is it the half calf or the angle length?
I wore them for a light jogging/freekick session to break in my new Vapor IX AGs and got the largest blister across both heels... about 3 inches across. I could feel the squares digging into my skin. I'm thinking I should've gone with a M instead of a L as I'm right in between the two sizes. The Vapor IXs fit like a glove so I was really surprised with the blisters.
when you play a game do you personally wear trusox? or do you find they arent always needed depending on the fit of the boot?
Does the truesox works if yuo use an ankle bend (either between the foot-truesox or between truesox-boots)? I had an injury there and i have to wear it compulsory

You guys need to tryout soccer straps or "guard stay II" from Nike....they are a lot better and you can use them for an unlimited number of times...they also don't damage socks

why not just put the tru sox over the top of the sock?
michael Coleman because then the cleats won't fit as well because of two layers unless the cleats are a little big. Also, having two pairs of socks can make your touch worse.

They're guard lock sleeves. You only need them for Nike slip-on shin guards.
