Just reading Good Omens now after seeing the series and it captivates on a whole other level, even wittier and how lovely to know the backstory of writing it! Legends!
I fell in love with NG and only after the fact discovered that he was a great friend of my absolute hero Sir Terry Pratchett and I am at the same time baffled and not surprised at all. It's perfect.
Gaiman was what? 23? when they met. Like so many, I thought of him for a long time as "that kid who hangs around with Terry Pratchett." Isn't it great that we got to be on the planet while this amazing duo existed. "The Kid" turned out well, too.
I saw him do a thing at the Brighton festival, talking to Terry Jones from Monty Python. Somebody said that they should call it "The Two terries" The idea appealed to both of them and they did it. They hadn't met before which made it really fun.
I met him in the old WH Smiths in Liverpool for the signing of Thud in 2005. Still treasure my copy of that book to this day. Mind you I was so starstruck that all I can remember saying was something along the lines of 'I love your books' and Terry had to prompt me for my name haha
We are all that interviewer, completely fascinated and in awe of them and their friendship.

What a loss Sir T is - nice to hear Neil Gaiman talking about their great friendship
you could say a loss, but what a gift in the first place
Terry was a legend we are a great deal at a loss with out him
I want to be like one of them and I want a friend who is like the other. I don't even care which way round it is.
I saw NG for the first time on this show.
So glad i saw it!
For some reason when I look at Neil here, he reminds me a bit of Alan Rickman
I kinda wish they'd kept those two Wednesdays.
Makes me think of Milton Jones doing back to back jokes about things he did “the other day.”
To be fair some weeks feel like they have two Wednesdays.
