      Brammerzworkouts its in his calves he has long tendons which help explode the balls of ur feet so immensely, plus he is more upper body dominant he doesn’t even look like he trains legs, again thats genetics he trains legs like a goat, but his shoulders, upper back and traps developed 10 fold helping him hold the load better.
      For reference im taller (6’5) but my legs are proportional to my upper body to where it looks like an x, and my shoulders are wide, i can ohp great and squat is the best of my lifts when it comes to numbers, but my deadlift is 100lbs less than my squats and my bench press sucks.

    If anybody has seen eddie hall's strict press video of 400 and how difficult it was for him, weighing as much as he does and being WSM, then you know just how insane this is. Larry could do strongman and do very well

    • @coen071993
      @coen071993 6 років тому +58

      Whatever it takes Pretty sure that was quite a long time ago though? Probably does that easily now. He did a 216kg axle press and the press part on that looked easy and he had to get that up to his shoulders first I think.

    • @stefl14
      @stefl14 6 років тому +97

      Well, Ed's was actually strict unlike Larry's here which relied heavily on the eccentric and was a slight push press. Also, Ed weighed around 330 then, it was a long time ago. Still heavier than Larry of course, but the form difference must be accounted for. Prime Ed presses way, way more than this though. Did 475 extremely strict, no eccentric, full range and no slight knee action like Larry. Oh and it was after a hard continental clean on an axle and was easier than this. Obviously Ed is way, way heavier, but their presses aren't comparable. Ed could do 500 out of the racks. Biby is not far off that either.

    *OHP, in my opinion one of the most mindful of all compound exercises. You have to keep in mind breathing (obviously), squeeze glutes, flex abs, wrists straight, spread lats, and of course actually pushing the barbell. Keeping all those components in mind makes ohp an impressive feat at high weights.*
