Let him know it has 2000cc Dynamics injectors and that cam gear was never degreed when I owned the car. We installed the cams and kept them at 0 degrees. So that needs to be put back to 0 unless you're okay with it.

@@popiwatv I have a dyno too and own a shop and I’m just telling you in my opinion, I wouldn’t even touch an ignition map without a dyno. Put all of your ignition timing under positive pressure to 8 degrees and drive it to the dyno to tune ignition. You would be an idiot to do it any other way

@@popiwatv yes, you are correct. Depending on how much boost you are running and the compression ratio of the engine will determine the starting point. Obviously you would start tuning at low boost levels below 8 psi and work your way up. At a 10:1 compression ratio and only 8 degrees of advance in boost you will be nowhere near mbt. You will need a dyno to optimize timing for max power. I just tuned a vitara longrod d16 on e85 that made 575 whp at 8500rpm 38lbs of boost and only 8 degrees of timing. Just for reference. Every setup is different.

It definitely sounded angry during all the first pulls. I know most people will disagree but i always put a tiny dot of loctite on the adjustable cam gear bolts. I've had them come loose and fuck up a lsv i was building 😐

I couldn't imagine 600hp fmd I mean my 200 HP Corolla spins and it's slow as fuck so I know that shit spins a lot until tires heated good but then again even a rwd 600 whp would be difficult hooking on street

Fresh plugs (heat range and gap) from your tuner Fluids Clamps Vacuum Cam gear bolts 😗 Working cooling system Timing You put the time and money into the build take the extra time to make sure it's ready. Awesome build though and great results.

On a Few different turbo platforms that I've had, they all seemed to run better with copper ngk plugs, vs iridium plugs. Idk why but that was my experience and the best part is they are cheaper anyway, just have to change them more frequently than iridiums.
It’s better to put stock gears back on, I had those same gears slip a little and that ended up causing cylinder 1 exhaust valve to make contact with the piston and it destroyed my gsr, a waste of a lot of time and money building the engine
@@michaellopez1196 the head of the exhaust valve broke off into the cylinder around 9000rpm, destroyed the head and piston..... lucky to block was salvageable
@@michaellopez1196 I had some Brian crower stage 3 cams, I had a limiter around 9600. I experienced the cam gears constantly shifting positions from the day I first started the new engine. So either the piston and valves made contact or the intake and exhaust valves made contact.

They were actually brand new accel plug wires, just a bad batch i guess 🤷♂️
