Last year I was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy. I had grand mal seizures during my sleep and I never knew about it until I started having seizures when I wasn’t asleep, and I was diagnosed with epilepsy. I was 15 at the time which meant I couldn’t get my drivers license because of the 6 month rule. I’d love to be a pediatric neurologist because I want to help kids with epilepsy!
My cousin that will graduate from the University of Virginia school of medicine is going to become a Hospitalist after completing residency. Can you do one on a Hospitalist please? I’m curious of this physicians duties in detail.
I plan on practicing pediatric neurology because I love the brain and children! Children are just the best. They’re so innocent and full of joy, while the brain is so fascinating! It’s basically multiple organs functioning collectively to give us our perception! So cool. This video solidified my choice to do peds neurology! I didn’t realize how much freedom there is to practice adult neurology and just primary peds!
I just love how they explain everything to us so we can understand them , and they make it fun so we don't get bored or distracted ( which happens to me very often) plus they are having fun to which is amazing. So thank you! You're amazing guys!

If pediatric neurology is in such high demand, why is the pay lower?
Pediatric anything gets paid less when compared to the adult specialty unfortunately.
Also probably because of the higher rate of academic faculties pulling down the average.
Lower pay for pediatric specialties is partly due to less procedures done on children than on adults, and procedures are lucrative.
