Zack Hample i Work for one of the contractors that converted the stadium for the GSU panthers. As a native and lifelong braves fan and growing up in the 90-00s during the great streak it was definitely emotional and saddening to see what it’s has converted to definitely nice but just looking at all of the history laying around and remembering running the bases as a kid and meeting John smoltz and glavin and so many other greats there it was definitely sad to see it go.
Zack, looking back at this video, a lot of stuff have changed with the old Braves stadiums. Atlanta Fulton County Stadium (Where the Braves and Falcons play at) is seeing a second life as a ball park for the Georgia State Panthers, and they are keeping the 715 marker, which is brilliant. They are putting in a Braves Walk of Fame behind the ballpark. Turner Field is seeing a new life as a football stadium for the Panthers. When I read the Ballparks book, the mayor originally intended on imploding the historical ballpark. I'm glad that never happened, at least Georgia State University managed to buy the old ballpark around in August and saved Turner from a bad ending.
Hey Zack, I've seen numerous of your videos in which you more or less show a tour of the stadium you're visiting. I like that very much. Hope you'll keep that up! 👍🏻👍🏻
Funny enough zack I was at this game and caught a ball in bp that took like 2 bounces in the seats around where you were hanging in left field. Love your videos. Crazy I might have actually met you before lol
I'm a Braves fan my first game was in 1991. I miss Fulton County Stadium, Turner Field I was never too impressed with. The reason the stadium is probably all funky is because it was originally built for the Olympics. Can't wait to see you in Suntrust Park.
I went to the second to last game at Turner Field, went 2.5 hours early, got 2 baseballs from BP, and had great seats in the club level. Great Game! So sad that it's gone though. :-(
Zack I take back any form of criticism that I ever made. I noticed you giving a few of those balls to kids. Never realized that you did that. And that your catches go to charity. You're a good guy.
Not sure if you remember Zack, but today I saw u with my brother in front of Yankee stadium before the Rangers game and you were holding some pizza. Just wanted to say thanks for talking to us!
+Zack Hample Thank you, I ended up with two baseballs and my brother got one. I got a toss up from AJ Griffin which I later got signed by Cole Hammels, and also a toss up from Yu Darvish (which I got from speaking the Japanese I learned from your vids, so thanks for that) and my brother got a toss up from the ball boy. Hope to see you at future games (most likely at Safeco field because we are from Oregon, just came to visit NY)!!
@@ianbatthauer2182 I don't think you get it. He hit a homerun, also known as a bomb. It is simply a play on words. Don't go spouting and swearing at people when you are the ignorant one.
@@TobyReese , I was there for the last game that Sunday afternoon which we won 1 - 0 against the Tigers . My seat was in the upper deck under the roof down the right field line. I still have my commemorative piece of dirt that they have out to everyone who attended .
Awesome Vid as always zack, for me growing up and going to games at Turner Field, I'm sad to see it go. Just won't be the same! I really hope to get a chance to meet you when Suntrust Park opens!
I attend BP at Turner Field often. It's very rare someone hits a ball to the club level. Most guys can't even get it up to the cross-aisle. I guess it goes to show strong Bumgarner is.
Well the terrace level right below it is about 460 feet, so the second deck homer could have been about 480 or 490, which is kinda far even for the big sluggers!
My team! I went to a game last year also as a farewell. I'll miss The Ted, but wow, SunTrust is so amazing. Looking forward to many games there in the future there! You have any plans of going back to SunTrust this year? My son and I are going back for the last two games of the season. During our trip in June/July we plan on trying some of your ball hawking techniques. Hopefully we'll be able to Vlog about it. We've been to 8 stadiums and probably 20 MLB games (mostly Braves) and I've thought "getting balls" was impossible, so never tried. After seeing you at SunTrust on opening day and watching your videos since, we've got a new mission during this years stadiums (Pirates, Indians, Reds, Tigers, Nationals, and Braves-2nd visit).
I’m a mets fan been to yankee stadium but only have seen a mlb game at citi field when I go to to a different sections of the ballpark theres people that check you tickets is that normal
I was at the Pittsburgh Pirate game today. They lost 5-4 to the Dodgers. ( It's PNC park ) it was voted #1 stadium in the world for the past 2 years in a row
Hey again! A while back I asked if you can do a video on how to make a glove trick. Can you please do that really soon because the next game I go to (August 5th) I really want to use it.
I don't get why he doesn't like citi field. I've been there 7 times and it is way more beautiful live then on tv. Although once my friend tried going to bp and he couldn't go in the OF seats. It is very strict. They didn't even let me go down and look at the OF seats when there was no bp
Hey Zach I have a question to you about getting multiple balls at minor league games. This week I'm going to the Tennessee Smokies game. They are the double a affliliate for the Cubs. I'm wondering if you have any tips on minor league ball hawking or if it's the same as doing it in the majors

It feels weird to me that being 19 years old I've already outlived a Stadium
thedominatior39 ever heard of Zach Greinke?
Well the worst stadium ever built
Danny you wish you could.
MrRideutah Nah the Oakland Athletics and the Oakland Raiders stadium is the worst

I am the biggest braves fan! I watch every game on TV and I love watching you explore Turner Field!
Cool. Thanks!
This was my favorite stadium ): so many memories
That background music when you were in the upper deck in left field REALLY matched the theme.
do you know what the song is

hey Zack are you going to Fenway park on April 11th?
Are you excited for the new stadium because I know I am.
Yup. Definitely.

I don't even watch baseball on TV or in person ever. But I watch all of these videos. They are awesome
Thank you so much! I'm really happy to hear that.
Man this brings back some memories.
It's so cool to watch the kids reactions when you give them the ball...

"That was Madison Bumgarner"
yeah we know, we've seen it for years and it stills leaves us asking how
Bumgarner is one of the best hitting pitchers

at a game today*

+Zack Hample ya but I'm kind of mad because I won't get to see David Ortiz play live against the Indians because they are the closest stadium to me
Zach I live in Atlanta I'm getting tickets for my birthday what is the best ball hawking standpoint
I'm not sure who "Zach" is, but I'm sure he'd tell you to watch the video for advice on Turner Field.

Hey Zack, what're your thoughts on pitchers competing in the HR derby, specifically guys like Mad Bum and Arietta?
I would love that. They hit better in BP than lots of position players.
