Oh my goodness, same here! I love these children. I have 11 grandchildren of my own. I am a retired judge and my husband is retired from the NFL here in the States. We are young retirees and are very vibrant. We reached out through written correspondences from our attorney to the owners and founders of Masaka Kids Africana offering to pay full tuition for a couple of the children. We offered them a full ride from grade school through college, here in the States. We reached out many, many times but to no avail. We tried for almost a year. We did not want to take the children away permanently- just during school season they would live with us and we offered to fly them home for all vacations and recording of videos. Since it is an orphanage, we only wanted to help. Uganda’s adoption regulations are very stringent and they are not a signatory to The Hague Convention on the Protection of Children, so long story short, adoption by anyone from another country is virtual impossible. But, I pray everyday that they are as safe and as happy as they look. I would love to give each one a hug! We love them.
