This song has a special place in my heart. Originally from a prechorus demo made in LA this March about trying to identify with the pain of someone close to me, I’m beyond happy that this song about trying to live life in someone else’s shoes has come to life with Panera Bread‘s campaign to feed those in need due to the effect of the virus.

I'm autistic, high functioning but still have issues responding to emotian and stong emotional stress, i can't find words for how I feel and so I look for them in music. Dealing with people who want me to be there instantly or be okay with things I can't do. To even trying to change my routine to fit all their needs, I have felt like this song is the best way to describe that for me. I always feel like if I can't do what they want or need then I'm not good enough and that they will leave. I just wish I could find a way to translate this song for those people in my life so they can show me some patience and understanding, thank you for helping me with these things I can't understand within myself. Artists like you will save kids like me

My life has not turned out the way i planned, in both good and bad ways. Although it does feel that the bad is always at the door and the good is just around the corner but just out of reach. In reality, we just need to hold the bad at the door and focus on the good that you already have inside. When god wills it, you'll bust through the bad sometimes without even noticing it. Just remember to keep that good with you, and when times get hard, look to them for strength.

Story of my life
You know, many years ago I was browsing a tradeshow at a huge carnival event in my town. I'm an artist myself but I find it hard to feel emotionally moved by a lot of art out there. While I was browsing, there was a photograph print that stopped me in my tracks. This photo was taken by a nature photographer Ken Hoehn. I found myself staring at this life size canvas print of an elephant covered in mud, but the way the sun hit it, it was like it was encrusted in gold. I was absolutely mesmerized by this animals gaze. When I asked the photographer about it, he told me the name of the piece is called Livingstone's Eyes (Almost the same name! hehe). Sadly the price tag for the piece is out of my financial abilities, but your music has a way of eliciting the same emotions as that photograph to me. I look forward to hearing more.
