At 11 years of experience, this person should know all of this. My reason for considering leaving UX is because salaries are dropping and a ton of senior people cannot find jobs that will pay their existing mortgages. I know so many people who are struggling right now.
Sorry, when they said themselves they take 50-60 hours to fulfil their role and responsibilities, that raised huge red flags. After a decade of experience they should have the skills to be more efficient. If they didn't have those skills it makes me question if they had the other skills required to overcome the other complaints on this list.
