You mentioned that warrantees on spindles may not be honored. But that is only if you use dual contact tools that are not Big Plus right? I have several holders that are standard Cat and I cannot change them as they are proprietary to the tool they hold. Charles
Sorry for the delay! You're correct, normal holders will not void the warranty, only non-licensed "dual contact" holders. The one potential issue is that standard holders do leave the spindle face subject to chip damage.
The quite part is being said out loud… “paid for the licensing” Searching for “licensed” big plus tool holder is convoluted. All I can find is promotion material on how great it is and don’t use the non licenses manufactures cause we have “special gauges” Not to mention the pricing of the reinvention of the wheel which is the best kept secret when researching Voiding the warranty is just more proof something sketchy is going on.
