I fished for one hour Friday from the bank and caught a 14", 7.5, 6, and another 6lb. LM. I had to make a 130' cast to brush piles on a main lake point. The water was 8' to 14' deep. I was using a Missile Baits D-Bomb (GP) on a Jika Rig (I make my own) 1/2oz weight. This is my best cold water rig for me. I use weights from 1/8oz to 1/2oz. The Baby D--Bomb works well to. I just drag it very slowly along the bottom and thru the brush. NE KS area.
The bank has been brutal in the Northeast. You gotta cast past the first 20ft of ice lol. Barely any room to work a lure. And not too many fish to aim for in the first place. The only time I get them is if I can find minnow school and follow it.
Have you been catching them from the bank?
Welcome to Lowbrow University ! This video is golden. So much great info and thank you Lowbrow for always remembering bank fisherman.
I've worn tracks in the ground around my lake 😂. Thanks for always remembering us bank fishermen!
I always try to remember that the vast majority of my audience fishes from the bank!
Been fishing from my pier with my new coat. Catching a few fish too.
That's great! You can still catch fish when it's cold!

I like those D Bombs on a mojo or a Texas rig!
Your channel should have so many more subscribers! It's such a shame that so few people sub yet you get tons of views.
Thanks so much for the support!
Those tips will really help! Gonna try the boat ramp!
Boat ramps can be a goldmine in the winter!

Dealing with hard water is definitely a challenge, but at least you're able to find a good way to find fish!
I like fishing from shore. A boat is too much of a hassle and you have all those extra expenses.
My little boat doesn't have a lot of extra costs, thankfully. But my big Bass Buggy likes to spend money, lol!
I haven't fished from the bank in a long time but I see a lot of guys out there. Great video as always LB!
Thanks for watching!
