“not the one that left her at the bus stop” - the way roxxxy’s childhood trauma is such a casual part of the fandom still makes me gasp and cackle lmaooo 💀
I think that was most personal and heartwarming episode on this channel ever. It was so touching, hearing Chastity talking about her mothers and seeing her moved.
I have to say, this is by far my favourite video you've done. It's fascinating to get to listen to this conversation, I really especially enjoyed what Chasity had to say, it was so insightful and she seems like such a good mom. Mera thank you for having these conversations and bringing so much joy into my life
Jinkx and Bob are technically drag sisters, because they have the same drag mom, Peaches Christ. Alyssa adopted Cheryl Hole into the Haus of Edwards. And Jan is Brita's drag niece, I believe. I'm sure there's multiple more, the families are insane.
i love these kinds of videos where you talk about different drag topics/aspects of drag in the real world (outside of drag race). i would love to hear about Scarlet’s time doing drag and her experiences and i’d love to hear more about your early career. love all your videos!❤
I love these videos when they talk more about their personal experiences like last week with Tabby. I love the Drag Race content but I love to learn more about Mera and her guests
It's also worth noting Sahara Davenport (Rest in Power) is Honey Davenport's drag mom and Honey considers Manila Luzon her drag auntie (even though Manila is not a part of the House of Davenport) and Bob says Bianca, Peppermint, and Sherry Vine (look her up, children) are her drag mothers. I love the dynasty/secret task force of drag queen families it's so fierce.
I don’t know the story, but for it to be a “trailblazer” photoshoot, I really wish we could have seen Monica Beverly Hillz and Kenya Micheals. I wonder if Carmen was asked and she said no, or if they just don’t ask her for anything anymore, but it would have been great to see her too.
I absolutely agree! I feel like they just called the most popular queens, which I absolutely understand, but I think Monica and Carmen especially pushed open a lot of doors. Carmen even got so much transphobic hate for her activism
@@neeliknowsnothing yes! Really! I mean, these queens are so lovely, amazing, they are still a huge part in this movement. But it would be amazing if we could acknowledge where it started
This was such a feel good episode, thanks so much for inviting Chloe and Chastity! They were very insightful, and I loved how Chastity speaks about her family… very sweet, I loved this
I was just watching an IG live with Shangela and Alyssa and Laganja were at dancing with the stars last night on Monday so at least they’re supportive especially at the important times
I don't watch Drag Race anymore, except for when I watch Mera and the gang watch it. Really, it's Mera and her guests that I'm tuning in to see, and so I love these open discussions because I don't have to watch any episodes of drag race to enjoy them. Keep doing what you're doing- but I especially enjoy this format!
I had to say this is the best episode that I have seen, And especially thank you Chastity. And Chloe you looked phenomenal today and of course Mera I love you. Hell I love all three of you
This is a fantastic video, the kind of video I feel is really needed, thank you all for opening up about your lives and experiences here, really informative.
OMG! Dieta Pepsi! We've had many a moment back in the Complex days. She's the one who taught me that queer comes in all flavors (not just Wild Turkey 😉).
Loved this video. I guess this can be one of my favourite ones from you. Really interesting topic and I, that don't have enough background in it, found it amazing, with a very beautiful approach. Congratulations, and I hope you keep creating this kind of content from time to time.
god chastity's mug is so ready for tv. the way she blends, idk what it is, but she just LOOKS like a ru girl, like someone who is already on TV and knows how to paint for a camera.
Also… Phi Phi was Asia’s drag daughter… Eureka isn’t part of the Texas O’Hara family Oooh! Asia’s Drag great grandma is the late, great Texas Legend Sweet Savage.
Omg so spooky - earlier this day I thought it'd be fun if you did a drag family video. I thought it'd never happen, but here we are. Love your chanel // 12 points from Sweden 😉
This was such a great conversation that I loved. You three all hit the nails on the head, and I thank you for sharing this. -Magnolia Palmer (Memphis, TN)
Makayla Couture and Nebraska are really interesting cases to me because they became parts of their drag families through the Drag Race makover challenge.
Oh my God, I hope the three of you put out a video “Drag Family: When they want to be your husband.” I was really starting to get amused about guys who wanted to date you, BUT ALSO wanted to do drag, along with Mera’s experience having a boyfriend who didn’t like drag. I think that should be a future video! ❤️
I have been doing drag for a little over a year, turned 18 few months ago and I had some long time friends asking me to put them in drag after I showed up to a pageant and they watched me. so now I am becoming a mother of 3 and this honestly helped me a lot with what I should know if I were to be their mothers
The Best Episode Ever! If people think that Drag is just about putting on a make-up and a wig he or she needs to see this... What a fantastic Job! You All Three and all the Mangle UA-cam Family is GREAT! Love Ya All!!!
When you mentioned the Davenport Haus, actually they are connected with the O'Haras (Rajah and Asia), because both have the same Drag Mother....the legendary CoCo from Houston, then Dallas TX, who is a former Miss Texas America, Miss Texas USofA, Miss USofA, and Miss EOY. She passed away in the mid-90's, but not before helping many performers in Texas get their start
aquaria has said that sharon isn't her drag mom but this was something she brought up for the show only. They were friends in new york and I think sharon told her to bring it up so she gets on the show. Or something like that.
Holy moly, Alicia Markstone! Her most famous non-drag race (but would destroy with her lovely garments) daughter is Dena Cass. Look her up. Btw- Coco’s mom is Mokha Montrese
If only Christina Ross from Texas were to get on Drag Race… not only will she have some of the best garments on drag race history (and she makes them herself… Stunning!) but her drag mother is Texas drag royalty Tommie Ross. That is a family tree right there.
So the Edwards family and the Davenports are related! Laken Edwards, Alyssa’s drag mother, and Kelexis Davenport, the overall mother of the haus of Davenport, are sisters! Their mother is the late, great, AMAZING Coco and HER mother is drag legend Naomi Sims
Chasity is such a kind soul. We must protect het at all cost
just paused the video to comment the same
@Fanged But Chasity is such a kind soul. Sadly a rare find these days
“not the one that left her at the bus stop” - the way roxxxy’s childhood trauma is such a casual part of the fandom still makes me gasp and cackle lmaooo 💀
she told that story and the gays RAN WITH IT LMAOOO

Its because it's her brand- do y'all remember that time she said "is the bus running?" When she came on stage

Yes but also Jan is Alexis Michelle drag daughter and Lemon is her drag cousin
I dare Mera to let a good transition happen without calling it out😂
I just wanted to say that I really enjoy this show! I legit watch every time you post and that doesn’t happen always for me.
so same

Loving the story of Chasity. It's nice to know other drag queens and their stories outside drag race. 🥰

I thought Carmen didn’t do drag anymore ?
She's shown up to drag con so clearly WOW still has connections with her.
Well since you ladies are a trio for the moment, I'd like to see a Birds Of Prey themed epi down the line.
It’s so incredible to hear stories of drag families, I myself am in a drag family who all perform and circuit the scene together!
“Mhmm…they’re that bad huh” Chloe: *trixie bird noise laugh*
And also Bob and Jinkx are sisters, both of them daughters of Peaches Christ
The holy trinity 💖
And Peaches is the daughter of Elvira. Iconic family from top to bottom.

Erica Andrews was such a gem 💎 I've often wondered how she would have done on Drag Race 😍
She would have shown them all how it’s done… and done it in pasties. :-D love Erica eternally.
I love the red normally but Mera in this wig is... be still my wlw heart
