DIY : Bluetooth Boombox Speaker

- In this video I will show you how to make a Boombox using car speakers
To make the Boombox i chose a 100 watt amplifier (TDA 7492p) which is paired with bluetooth 4.0 module and a pair of Car speakers.
Speaker enclosure is made of 3/4" MDF and then finished with matte black vinyl wrap
Battery pack is made eight 18650 Li ion cells which i salvaged from old laptop batteries.
Battery can be recharged using laptop charger.
This Boombox can play music upto 7 hours on its highest volume.
Music can be played and controlled directly through Bluetooth device

i have this same bluetooth amp currently hooked up to pair of JBL bookshelf speakers, sound is incredible for its size. very clean and quite loud

Every thing was good except to used a heat gun directly on li-ion cell which is dangerous and fatal plz never repeat that procedure again Btw nice project 👌😙

Question: Why bother with the amplifier window if you are not going to bring forth the control buttons? As it is, the window is essentially useless.

Answer: I did that for aesthetic purpose and also wanted to control the buttons but in the middle of the build i dropped that idea.

@@TheIdeaBox It kind of does... Now if you could add big ugly lever-type buttons under the window you'd be all set! LOL
(Actually, extending wires from the back of the push buttons on the amp board to bigger, push buttons under the window... and maybe a cassette shell in the window itself... Never mind, just thinking out loud. lol)

Nice build!!!...Thank You for providing a wiring diagram!!!....So many Bluetooth builders out there never provide a diagram...Question: Why didn't you add a passive speaker, filling and/or Port tubes to increase bass?
It won't power the speaker for 7 hours.
8 18650 batteries combined produce 16ah. 16*3.7 is 59wh. Your speaker is 100w that makes 59/100=0.59h. so max half an hour

how would you pair the bluetooth module inside if you need to change phone?
i have this exact bluetooth amp. it is in constant pairing mode if no bluetooth device is currently attached to it. or you can just turn it off then on

4S 18650 battery = 16.8 V , and you're at 17.8V, please don't overcharge lithium batteries!

why not run at 12v with a higher amp charger?? instead of higher voltage and then using step down transformer?makes no sense

Audio nerds say that car speakers wouldn't fit portable audio systems. They are for big spaces with no proper isolation.
With propper drivers you could get at least 9db more of loudness and def more bass out of the same inclosure size... The sound overall would be better! But its still a nice build!

your speakers look like they were conected with the reverse polarity.. they look like they go back when they should go out
