I do not own this video and had nothing to do with making it. I just found it on the web and wanted to share it. All accolades belong to The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Wake County, Raleigh, NC.

I have been doing social media training/consulting for 8 years and that was by far one of THE BEST public service announcements I have ever seen. Sharing everywhere.

This made me cry! Yes they only showed pups and kittens but it got the viewers attention, once ppl are in the shelters they see what else is in there, and getting people in there is the point afterall! and it takes a lot to adopt an older pet because u have to face the facts that u will see them pass which is hard, overall this is a WAY better way to attract people to adopt pets than the sad sarah mcghlaughin commercials, in my experience I ALWAYS turned the channel when those commercials would come on because they are so sad and depressing, this makes me want to watch it over and over again and adopt them all!!

Just shared this video with my 1.5 year old rescue puppy. I said, "This made me want to go to the shelter ... and I found you!" She licked me with understanding. I took a chance and WON big time.
Thank you ABBA for letting this wonderful shelter to utilize your wonderful song to save lives!
They did not let them use the video. They sued the spca for it to be taken down!

To be fair to ABBA, if they do not vigorously defend their material, it can be used by anyone without their consent.
I would hope that ABBA would have come to an agreement with the video producers that would both allow the video and protect the intellectual material of the band.

Get over it? There is nothing to get over. I simply understand the legal issues that a group faces. Turns out, they let it go and all was good.
Barbara Solomon It seems so. In fact the SPCA put out a statement that only the lawyers representing the songs copywriters and likely Universal Music Inc. too had actually seen the video. So the members who made up the band were probably not involved at all. I doubt they personally would have objected at all knowing the circumstances. That's the problem when 'suits' get involved.
Now THAT's how you do it!!!! Love it! Tired of those sad commercials begging people to get a puppy, using the "compassion" technique, making you feel sorry for the animals instead of showing the animals as happy living beings.

I guess that what I really like about this video was the fact that it shows the happiness that we feel when we adopt an animal! My dog is 15 years old, he was rescued, and he brings so much happiness to our lives every single day!

EVERY time I watch this, I cry. I wonder how everyone is doing. I wonder how many of the little kittens got adopted and whatever happened to Chance the dog and all the rest. Absolutely fell in love with everyone!!! Such a great bunch.

Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened! No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich!!! I think the video is a great resource for the shelter and I congratulate them and whoever came up with the idea! God Bless you all and God bless all his creatures!!

I watch this wonderful video once every so often. I've shared it more than once with my friends. Everytime I watch it, I shed some tears... I am touched to see all these fine people teaming up together to promote love towards animals. This production demonstrates all the love and all the efforts these people are willing to give to show true compassion. I love this video, it's beautiful and I thank you for sharing it.
I had a cat that died a few months ago. Now, this.. made me cry like a little baby.

Maybe because I've been having such a huge week with my foster kitties, but this made me cry (and I never cry about anything happy, ever). It's so sweet.
This actually made me cry....so many like minded people, and I had almost given up on humans. Beautiful work people. I want to sing and dance everytime I see an animal. And especially if I saw them rehomed. xox

I have always made a point of ONLY having adoptive pets. This made me cry with happiness & will share with every one I can. My last dog was 12 when we adopted her & lasted another 5 years, This pup was only 15 months & is as mad as a box of frogs. Adopted 2 cats that lived for 22 & 23 years as mother & son & our Cindy rescued from a neighbour bwho kept her in a toilet, we had her 9 years. This video is wonderful.

My heart swells every time I watch this.
OMG...that was the most heart felt thing I've ever seen in my life...heck, I can't stop crying,because it was that touching! Awhile back, I had to putmy last Saintbernard down, cause she lost the use of her back legs, and was losing her bladder as well, I cried like a baby, but I know that Tinker and Chinadoll are waiting for me at the Rainbow bridge ready to show me everything they found! WTG everyone at the SPCA! You really rock :-)

Imagine all the animals that would find their forever homes!! And imagine all the lonely people who would find their new best friend!! So many lives would be changed. Not only did I smile, I cried. So sweet and fun! I lost two cats this year; one was only 8 years old, the other was 18!. I received one from Save-a-Pet. She was three when I adopted her. The other cat was also around three and I adopted her from a elderly women who became hospitalized. Thinking about a puppy... Bravo!

Wake County SPCA, I am really proud of you for doing such an uplifting and cute video! That said, I hope people find it in their hearts to support the work of the SPCA. I live in Japan with two dogs and two cats that came from shelters or rescue network services. I am very happy to be with them even though they require so much care.
I don't know how many of these people in this movie are actually the staffs of this place but I can feel this shelter is run by local people under excellent policy and the facility is really well organized. Looking closely, I can even see there are pet care products sold for foster family to look after their new pet.

Aww, those poor puppies and kitties bouncing around and being passed from person to person. I hope they got great homes. It is sad that we have so many animals that don't have great homes. I hope this video brings a lot of attention to that shelter and more people chose to adopt.
