    So far, my husband and I finished our foster care training last October, and the process is moving really slow due to Covid. We got the fire inspection and environmental health inspection done. The home study starts next week, then we will schedule the fingerprinting. Once all is that is done, we will move towards licensing for up to three children. I’m excited, but my husband and I don’t have any kids of our own, so I’m scared at the same time. These videos really help ease that anxiety. Thanks so much.🤗

    Yes!!!!! Love this. I subscribe to you when you first got your little man and I was just getting licensed. Our adoptions almost over to with my first placement. I am so happy to see you adopted him. These children deserve love and permanency and stability

    You are so badass! I am constantly worried about when the right time is. I’m married now and I have my own bio child. My husband is amazing and onboard. I just admire you so much.

      Aw, you are so sweet 💕 there is never a "right" time - you just have to take the leap when you feel the most peace about it

    I have always wanted to be a foster parent. I just want to know I'm not a June Cleaver type. I more Rosanne Barr and can you be a foster parent and not be perfect?

      I don't believe there is such a thing as a perfect parent. There are thousands of different types of kids in foster care and they need thousands of different types of parents.

    Hello do you have to foster before you adopt or can you adopt in the foster system without fostering first?

    • @AutumnRene
      @AutumnRene  2 роки тому

      You can choose to accept "adopt only" placements in most areas if you aren't interested in fostering

    Once you adopt child do you still get some support from the government?? Being a single mom I’m just curious to know. Thank you

      If your child meets certain criteria you can still get some money but it’s reduced. They also get Medicaid for life so you don’t have to put them on your insurance if it’s too expensive and college tuition. There’s a video where she tells the actual amounts she got for her son on the channel

      It depends on child's age, ethnicity, and medical needs - I do have a video on my channel where I talk about specific amounts & supports during fostering and after adoption. White children and infants are the least likely to receive post-adoption support.
