@@montyalb8788 yeah he sort of just gave up on the assmen when the arclights started killing him, but if he takes range to keep them back they could still benefit him. I think he just got a little overwhelmed and tried to do too many different things. Taking a tech on the rhinos and then selling them was a pretty big waste of economy especially since he elite recruited them.
In his defense, the whole point of going Assmen is that they are tanky. Taking range removes much of the point of using the trait because they are still not great at chaff clear except maybe when considering Wasps or Sledgehammers. The range upgrade makes for a gold and positional inefficiency even though it helps to an extent. The scaling is a bit bad. The situation requires a transition and probably a sell out of most of them.
If he'd gone air behind the Rhino's the turn after they came in, like a few phoenixes, that seemed like i'd be very hard to stop with your lack of anti air. What yould you have done if he'd added phoenix to rhino + assman?
@@dieuwtjin exactly that's what I meant when I was mentioning tempo on round 5. If he had bought a couple phoenixes on round 5 I would have grabbed the free typhoons on round 6 and probably would have also added phoenix or marksmen of my own.
Ah, if the arclights have EMP that outscales Assmen. I think he should have checked the techs before going in.
