These, wall angels, and deep squats with arms above my head pretty much reduced my chronic pain from sitting 8 hours a day. Took me about 10 years to discover these

My arms start shaking and shoulders get really tight as I begin the last movement over the butt. It almost seems impossible to get my hands over my butt

i had bad rhomboid pain and no matter how much stretch i made the pain still comes back very fast. But with this exercise i could say it is now the best. I have visible result as the pain goes away and my posture significantly improved just after a few days
I’ll have to clear space in the house but I will be trying to add these to my routine targeting my shoulders w low impact strengthening to improve posture sound great for me
This looks great. Hope it can cure my winged right scapula, which started some four years ago. I'm a pianist by the way and it started with the wrong piano chair that I had at the time. It wasn't a piano chair, just an ordinary ikea chair with metal legs that started spreading apart and I didn't have firm resistance on the floor. At least I think that was the reason. That's the only relevant thing I could remember from that time. Anyway sometimes everything is fine for days on end and sometimes my whole shoulder is burning and waking me up from sleep. I have to heal asap and forever. Otherwise I will die. Sometimes it starts hurting even after writing a few lines with the pen on paper. Thanks for this!!
And some good cues I've heard to avoid compensations from other areas are: tuck in the belly-button (decrease low-back arch), relax the legs, let the hips take most of the weight of the mid/lower body. Lift the head off the ground and lengthen the head as if it was being pulled away from the body. Thumbs up to the ceiling to encourage lat engagement... These exercises are deadly and humbling, when you see dudes reping 200lb overhead press, but their ROM is likely just as compromised or worse than anyone else trying these exercises for the 1st time..

Going to give this a try I've been suffering from rhomboid pain for around 5 years now...
It’s not a rhomboid except use it’s specifically for low traps
Its like butterfly swiming
makes sense, didn't think about it
you can rise hands above head sometimes
as we usually rarely let hands stretch this way
Great will try this 👍 thanks

My arms start shaking and shoulders get really tight as I begin the last movement over the butt. It almost seems impossible to get my hands over my butt
What does that tell you?
Not an expert but , try to take it slow as u keep doing this everyday the range of motion should increase also don't add weights :)
I'll try this today at the gym! This looks like a fantastic suggestion.
I'll try this, thank you. Can you give exercise for forward neck?
Neck bridge on bench. Take it slow.
