Well I'm writing this comment as the video is running, that's because I love the A9, so I was really pleased to see it is the latest A9 that you are unboxing. I think this is one of the truly great B & O designs. I put it up there with the Beogram 4000 and other truly iconic B & O designs. The A9 is just the perfect design for the modern home. It is self standing and you can just pick it up and move it from room to room. I'm going to buy one later this year possibly (although I might be getting a Beosound Theatre which could knock it to next year). Anyway the A9, of course, can have different skins and these change the whole feel of it so radically. They sound superb as well, I have listened to a couple now in different shops in London and it is just remarkable how good they sound. There is a big advantage to it being self-standing which is that you tend to bring it out into the room more. Most of the other all-in-one speaker systems are designed to sit on a shelf or a sideboard but usually that is not a great location, tucked away against the wall. With the A9 it looks so great you want to make a feature of it and pull it out into the room and enjoy it!
I work in the furniture industry I'm impressed by the use of Kvadrat - they really are the Rolls Royce of fabrics.

When I installed Beolab 28 and tried to use the multiroom feature that is part of the Mozart system both sets of speakers have drop out and distortion. Beosound Emerge and Levels play perfectly together but Beolab 28 don't work in the same way. Really wonderful when it does work as expected but frustrating when it does not.
Bought it last year in Dublin, and it is a beautiful speaker. Quite a conversation piece too.

I have had gen2 and now own gen 4 which is Suberb looks like other than Mozart (stereo) if u have 2 A9 it’s the same?
Great video! I wonder how the thicker fabric affects the sound. Have you tried it without the fabric cover? Also, what’s the difference between the mk4 and mk5 in terms of hardware?

What is its official rating decibel maximum? And connected up to your system what is its msx DB rating it didn't seem very loud.
