Monsta x is my ULT group. They are incredibly underrated. Kihyun is my ult bias and his vocals just make me melt. All of them have great vocals though! “U R” is a great B side that shows off their vocals. “Alligator” is a great title track that everyone loves starting off with as thier first discovery song (it’s very intense so be prepared lol) and “wanted” is one of many of my favorite Japanese songs. As far as English songs I would say “who do you love” You honestly can’t go wrong with any of their songs. They have so many different sounds made for people with different tastes. Either way I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! ❤

Thank you for checking out Monsta X! Ok, some things you need to know about them is - Monsta X are often known as intimidating, sexy, beast idols, but they are honestly so much more than that, they are the absolute kindest, sweetest, funniest, and most incredibly hard working men out there.
By now they should be known for their diverse sound and style, whilst always maintaining that Monsta X flavour throughout... People who don't know them well tend to think they are only ever loud and hype (noisy), simply because a lot of their Korean title tracks are usually selected for their high impact performance purposes, as that is one of Monsta X's many strengths.
The X in their name is the mathematical X - an unknown variable, there to tell us from the get go that they will always experiment with sound and style and not limit themselves sonically or linguistically. They are extremely versatile artists when you dive in past the surface, as their music is incredibly eclectic in style, genre blending and language (Korean, Japanese and English, plus a little splash of Spanish an Mandarin here and there) They can do hard Hip Hop, smooth R&B, soft emotional ballads, cute pop, raging EDM, and EVERYTHING in between.
Their English songs have a different vibe to their Korean and Japanese work, and that has allowed them to never remain predictable, stagnant, or complacent. They are a 9 year old (this May) group that continually improves and expands on their skillsets, to broaden their discography (keeping it fresh and exciting)
This thirst for freshness and range has shaped them into the incredible all rounders in the industry that they are. Nothing holds them back when it comes to their music and artistry, and they are often known for pioneering a trend well before it eventually becomes popular, and they have influenced many 4th and 5th Gen idols for these reasons and more. They are usually at the heart of writing and producing, and even when they aren't they have a huge hand in making decisions about what music/choreo they want to do and how to adapt it to best suit them. At the end of the day they themselves are the key factor to their music, they are the magical ingredient tying it all together so it will be great if you would open your hearts to them and really get to know them, they have SOOO much content and have never shied away from being their authentic selves. I really look forward to seeing how your journey with them evolves!
PS: Beautiful Liar (co-written by Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M) taps into the dangerous nature of love - it is a song about an addictive and toxic love that they cannot resist. The lyrics describe the feeling of being drawn to a lover who lies and manipulates them, and even though they are aware of the deception, they unable to resist the attraction of their partner's dangerous and enticing lies. The lyrics on the MV and Genius aren't the greatest translation, but in the correct translation the lover's lies are compared to a thorn on a red-petaled flower that they acknowledge but still willingly kisses. The deep voiced rapper in the chains scene with Hyungwon is our maknae I.M (Changkyun)
Love Killa - (you're about to sense a theme) is about a passionate love/hate relationship that is beautiful and ruthless at the same time. In the MV the Monstas take on classic movie villain roles - Shownu - (this one is often debated but it's one of 2) Agent 47 from Hitman or Agent Smith from the Matrix, Minhyuk - Patric Bateman from American Psycho, Kihyun - Hannibal Lector from Silence of the Lambs, Hyungwon - Tyler Durden from Fight Club, Jooheon - The Joker from The Dark Knight, I.M - The Driver from Drive. The reason for this is that people have complicated relationships with villains, there is a love hate dynamic with them, and a lot of people find themselves attracted to toxic characters, even though they know that there is unlikely to be a happy ending. The blonde you kept mentioning is Minhyuk he's a visual alongside Hyungwon and a vocalist 😍
Love (written and produced by Joohoney - I.M wrote his own raps - our rappers always write their own raps) Love is about love and desire, it's about giving in to temptation, and taking the shot on the one you love and just jumping in head first. It's both playful and sexy and very Monsta X.

Oh girl, I feel you with Hyungwon, he's my ult bias and I saw him up close last year at kcon L.A and the guy is GORGEOUS, monsta x is a versatile group as you can see, they always experimented with a lot of music styles through their career... the title tracks are fire, but the bsides? I love them. I recommend you lost in the dream, nobody else, mercy, crescendo (all of them are bsides) and the special stage of Joohoney and I.M "Sambakja"

So the love killa mv concept is that they're all characters in movies, jooheon is the joker, changkyunie (I.m/bible) is baby driver, minhyuk (blonde) is American psycho, kihyun (the one that belts the high notes) is Hannibal, shownu is John wick, hyungwon is Brad pitt in fight club, and the song is just about toxic love, they write about that a lot (three of the members write the songs nowadays, ever since they became seniors they took over making the songs and the songs quality improved a lof)
Monsta X is in my top 4 favorite kpop groups…EXO, Shinee, Monsta X and Super M. We saw them in concert 2 years ago and they were terrific…some of the best rappers! They are called the men of kpop…all their discography is great! They also have 3 all English albums ❤

Monsta X is the best of the best. My only and loved ones. Now four are doing mandatory military service (Minhyuk, Kihyun, Joohoney and Hyungwon). We won't have them together as a group until 2025 but that will give you time to get to know their work😊.
As Monbebe I'm sure they will return with everything, with a full album, comeback, celebration for 10 years and with another world tour. And because I can, I'm also going to dream with their third english album😋.

Beautiful Liar was just before Minhyuk Enlisted whom is the blonde in Love Killa. Love Killa theme was based on movie references. Both Beautiful Liar and Love were after Shownu Enlisted. He is out now. Minhyuk enlisted first 4/4/23 but discharges in October 3rd, Joohoney enlisted 24/7/23 discharges 23/01/2025, Kihyun enlisted 22/08/2023 discharging 21/2/2025 and Hyunwon was the last to enlist at present on 14 november 2023 - discharging 13/05/2025 (which is day before 10th anniversary of Monsta X)

They can be easily adapted to any musical style, the perfect example is LOVE, and it is one of my favorite comebacks!
Hyungwon is my bias along with Shownu,♡ hahaha Hyungwon has a duality out of this world, he is charming, he has a very cute and fun personality, in addition to being the visual in Mx, he is quite versatile in different areas, and he has even COMPOSED several songs, and they are really GOOD!!! As someone who ults him, I felt and understood every gasp for Hyungwon 😂! Also get ready to Stan a group of men cause they are grown; they are a man group! Love was produced by Jooheon, and you’ll find anything by him never misses. Definitely don’t be afraid to check out any of their b sides. Recently myself, I’ve really been feeling the songs Perfect Girl and Broken Heart ❤. Also really think you would enjoy Shownu and Hyungwon’s unit album The Unseen!

Monsta X is my Ult group, and I.M. (the maknae that starts off Beautiful Liar is my bias). This song is great! Currently all the members are in the military except for Shownu (leader - he already went and came back) and I.M. (I wouldn't be surprised if he goes this year). Monsta X is the man group of kpop. They are very sexy and have some very sexual songs. Don't let them fool you. I'm so glad you've started this journey. I never noticed that IM looks like Bible, but I totally see it!!!!!!! Love Bible BTW. Maybe that's why IM is my bias LMAO!

So you found our beautiful Men of kpop with the best rappers in kpop Joohoney & IM and our fantastic vocal line that’s starts with our vocal god Kihyun plus shownu , Minhyuk , Hyungwon . I've been with these guys since the beginning and I love them so much. They have so many good songs. Since you mentioned that you really love vocals, I'll make my recommendations based on that. I love the vocals on "One Day" and "Someone's Someone". I think you will really love those. Aside from vocals, you have to see "Gambler" and "Rush Hour" and "Jealousy". They are just so good. And then there's "Shootout" because....YES....just YES. At some point you have to step back in time and see "Hero". There's so many. I'm already thinking of so many I should have mentioned. I'm subbing for more Monsta X reactions. The one you keep pointing out is Minhyuk. He's my wrecker but Jooheon is my bias. I love them all though. ❤ I'm excited to see more reactions !

If you go out and find the Pixid with Monsta X, it is one of my favorite side splitting laughfests for when I need a dopamine rush. My fav songs are AND and Crescendo. Worth a listen.

Yes members Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, and Hooney are in the military. Minhyuk is going to be done with his service in October. The rest will be done some time next year in time for their 10th anniversary
