Marlie Chelody wrote Daydreaming in 2010 in memory of “Abi”, his grandmother, whom he adored as a child. One morning, Marlie was walking around the UT Austin campus when he heard her voice and laughter. In that moment, he realized that she could be present in his life if he paid attention to his surroundings.
Marlie always knew that this song was meant to be performed by a woman, and twelve years later he met Colleen Rennison in Todos Santos, Southern Baja California. When he heard Colleen sing a cappella, his whole body vibrated, as he knew that she was the soul and voice that he had been waiting for so long. The next day, he played Daydreaming on the guitar for her and as soon as he finished playing, she said: “Who wrote this song? I want to sing it!", and he replied: “This is my composition, but now it is your song.”

Alán Marlie, AKA, Marlie Chelody escribió "Daydreaming" en el 2010 en memoria de "Abi", su abuela, quien era su máxima adoración cuando era niño. Una mañana, Marlie estaba caminando en el campus de su universidad en Austin, Texas, cuando sintió la presencia de su abuela; incluso escuchó su risa y su voz. En ese momento se dio cuenta de que ella podía estar presente en su vida sin necesidad de verla o estar con ella, simplemente bastaba con poner atención a su alrededor.
Marlie siempre quiso que esta canción fuera interpretada por una mujer para capturar la esencia femenina que la canción requería y fue por azares del destino que 12 años después conoció a Colleen Rennison en Todos Santos, Baja California Sur. Una tarde, Marlie la escuchó cantar a capella y todo su cuerpo vibró; él sabía que ella era el alma y la voz que estuvo esperando por tanto tiempo. Al día siguiente, Marlie le tocó la canción acompañado de su guitarra. Instantáneamente, Colleen mostró asombro, admiración y curiosidad por saber quién la había escrito, para lo que Marlie le respondió: “Esta es mi composición, pero ahora es tu canción”.
Fue así que Marlie decidió grabar esta sesión en vivo que captura la esencia de la canción solamente con guitarra y voz.
