Yes! Shows the pure innocence of a child. As a mom myself, i hope she can keep her innocence for a while longer and enjoy her childhood. However, hopefully this will also open the doors for her.
If she does not take years of voice lessons, she could ruin her voice. Having a 9 year old sing an incredibly difficult opera aria (song) is not healthy and promotes such a false view on what it takes to sing classical music
So much talent - the world a brighter place with you in it. I’d like to big up the mum too. The love and support. This was her baby girl‘s moment that she let her enjoy without needing to be in on the action.

First her voice literally blew me away and brought tears to my eyes. Second the fact that she was only 9 is insane. So i can only imagine how her voice is going to improve as she gets older. Third the fact that it was Simon's idea & it's never been done made her golden buzzer even better.
I never understood or got opera but this beautiful little angel was born to perform it . What an amazing sound came out of that baby girl. I was absolutely blown away by her. She's going to be something spectacular in no time at all.
Victory is the gift the world has received for unrequited love Christina and Eric Brinker adopted 8 children (in addition to their 2 biological children) Victory is one of the adopted children. I say thank you to the wonderful parents for the joy of life and the music she brings to the world
I just turned 26 years old, and I literally just started learning this aria today. I’m a light coloratura/lyric soprano, and I’ve been getting professionally trained in singing classical music and show tune pieces with private voice lessons since I was 15 years old. I remember asking my first voice teacher if I could learn to sing this aria when I was 15 because I was already showing the ability to hit notes all the way up to an F#6 in warm ups. My voice teacher said my voice probably wouldn’t be mature enough to tackle “Ah, Je Veux Vivre” until I was in my twenties. Now, I’m in my mid-late twenties, and I finally pulled out this piece to learn after roughly ten years of professional training as a soprano. I’m finding it pretty difficult to learn the French. This girl has a lot of potential to be great. The fact that she can do any of the leaps in this vocally acrobatic aria at the tender age of 9 at all is impressive in and of itself. However, this aria is not easy to learn, even if the libretto is written from the perspective of a 13 year old girl falling in love with a boy she just met. It takes rather advanced vocal agility, really good breath support, proper French diction, and accurate pitch placement. This little girl clearly hasn’t developed those vocal skills and stamina required to really sing “Ah, Je Veux Vivre” properly. I’m not saying that she NEVER could sing this aria well. She probably could, but she’s clearly not ready yet. Not only is she too young, but it doesn’t seem like she’s received much professional training in classical singing. Her pitch is off center in some places, her vibrato is rather wobbly, and she isn’t singing the French lyrics correctly. While I know it’s a singing competition show, in opera it is also standard not to sing arias with a microphone. You’re supposed to be able to have enough proper breath control to have enough to be able to be heard over an orchestra on stage in front of the whole audience without one. I’d probably get her signed up for private lessons first, and suggest she start with a much easier aria, such as “L’ho Perduta,” “Un Moto Di Gioga,” “Ridente La Calma,” “Das Veilchen,” or “O Mio Babbino Caro.” “Ah, Jeux Vivre” by Gounod is a beast that this little girl clearly isn’t ready for yet.
You honestly just sound sour that you are Also not yet ready for this piece in your twenties and she is remarkably close at 9 even without professional training. Where will she be in another 13-14 years?
@@daniellebarker7667 I don't think that she is sour about it. On the contrary, she's praising her huge potential and ability. She is just saying that the song choice wasn't maybe the right one for her age and, even if she is pretty good right now, with a good musical education her performance could be even better. There is nothing sour about it, she shared her story to explain how difficult this aria is and not to say "I could sing this song only in my twenties but at least mine was technically right". @@memefaison6007 I don''t think quivering is the issue, some performers have a quivering voice and it actually adds a dimension to the overall performance/piece. I think we need to see more of Victory's performances, before we can say that sh e can't control it yet. Let's pick apart - Anna Netrebko - Je veux vivre (Romeo & Juliette). I found Victory's 'rendition' to be more moving. Sometimes, "perfection" is the one thing that keeps people (perhaps 'common folk') from exploring new horizons. Victory exposed a LOT of people to opera... whether they've ever been or not, her performance was moving to many nonetheless. I'm not saying Victory doesn't need training, but I am pointing out that a ton of my friends that have never seen the inside of opera hall were moved... I think that is a good thing!!!
