You could use a domed metal resonator (like the factory) or choose something else if you would like. hello, do you do modifications? if so is it possible for you to turn a bari sax with the octave pad in the neck into one with the octave pad on the body
The RooPad leather is dyed so it is more porous than other leathers that have a painted or sealed finish. So they will not seal completely on the leak tester when they are NEW. However, as players play the instrument the moisture gets into the pores and seals the pads, and they seal up great! That's why it's always good to get some leak work done after you've played new RooPads for a while. The horn will respond awesome AND the pads won't stick. If you put sealant on the RooPad leather it will make them stick like everything else. That's the great thing about the Extremes, the 2nd layer of leather seals the air, and you get the awesome feel and no stick of the RooPad leather.

The felt thickness varies by pad style. We also make adjustments to thickness with the materials to keep the results and feel consistent.

In the Sax ProsShop, we use either the clear or amber shellac cartridges for our Z-gun.
