This pairing has always struck me as something the fans wanted and pushed for. Not something that happened naturally. They are both very flirtly with each other but thats about it.
That's why so many people believe its PR to please the fans especially for their last movie (possibly). The other guy is deffo Timothee. I personally think he is a better match for her than Tom. What I pick up on this: I dont feel like its solely a PR stunt but I do feel like Tom is more so focused on the aspect of how it benefits his career/image being in a relationship with her. But he’s also infatuated (hence all the interviews he’s done about her, saying she’s his crush before he even met her) you mix that with lust, passion, attraction, friendship.. spending alot of time together, working on a passionate project together and being encouraged by other ppl. Its easy to slip into the line of why not date eachother. Especially for him because it benefits his career which is his top priority.
The only problem with that is, the foundation is shaky. Infatuation, lust and passion can only go so far when you get used to the person. And when the buzz around your project dies down & all of the dopamine that fire can go out just as fast as it lit. Being with someone off of shallow things & how you benefit will make you lack continuity(which you need in being in love) the other person can also feel that lack of continuity.
Also they’re still so young, they met when they were 19. So they’re growing into their own, finding out what they want or don’t want. They’re in the most impactful journeys of their life. It seems like their heads are In different places when it comes to this connection.. I feel like Zendaya wanted to see where this would go, but she feels like theres a greater love out there for her, and it can be easier than this. Maybe Someone who she wouldn’t be as confused with, lack confidence with, someone who wouldnt have her in her head alot, make her a Top priority, and wants to be with her beyond the 3D things(attraction, lust, infatuation, improving ones image) Using our intuition, you can feel if someone is really all in for you, or if its shallow and you’re really not their top priority. And you can feel if a connection with be longterm or soon to end. Your intuition can also show you If someones heart may not be all In which Is what I feel like Tom feels from Zendaya as well..But ignores it bc the relationship serves a bigger purpose for him and his career.
This relationship will teach them both alot.

And if he really wants to be with someone and choose them he has to make them a priority. Also choosing whats important to him. I feel like this teaches Zendaya to be honest with herself and others, if her heart is not really in it or if this just isn’t it for her. Because she doesn’t really need Tom to benefit her image, and thats not whats important to her/important enough to be the glue to all of this. she wants that 5D connection as well, not just 3D. And i feel like Tom is focused on the 3D. So its a disconnect here & thats why it lacks the continuity it needs to last, or at least turn into something very meaningful.
Things could change and it could work out. But if it doesn’t I know they will learn a valuable lesson in different ways. And this will get them closer to the person that they fit more with.

Realistically speaking one of the main reasons for which people wait to get married nowadays is financial stability; owning a nice house or having children is something that most young people can't really afford (and that our parents could) so they need to take years saving up before even thinking about it. That's something that Tom and Zendaya don't have to worry about, rn they're financially set to have a comfortable life so that's not an issue they share with most couples their age.
Most 25 y/o's are still figuring out what they'll do with their life or where their career might lead tbh, meanwhile these two have been successfully working since they were kids, I think they have that part sorted out too.
