    Liquid fluid! A few times i drank IV solution. It helped. I used emergency situation plastic bag to keep my core once. Did you read " not without peril" mid August snowstorm hit on Mt Adams people died...think twice about summit temps, wind, drop temp at night as well. Thanks Ryan again! Oh btw 115 is coming soon. Mine done on 2017.

    Hi! Brian! I also carry the bug net, sun cream and aloe mist. I can not hike without bug net in ADK in spring and early summer. Thank you for the video.

      Oh yes, a bug net would be great for sitting around on a summit and enjoying your time. We never really sit around as were constantly on the move for really huge days. So we never really have an issue with bugs. This year we are going to be training really hard for some really big hikes. The Bob Marshall in the Adirondacks and the hut to hut in New Hampshire. So I’m pretty sure we’re going to start trail running this season and try to get some serious endurance. The hut hut is crazy. 50 miles an 18,000 feet of elevation gain which we plan on hiking in one day

      @@BrianHikesAllDay Wow~~ Good luck!! 🍀👍🏻 Since you are going to do the trail running this season, is it too much to expect the video? Because I really enjoy hiking with you guys by watching the youtube. Do you have any plan of backpacking?? Thanks! 🙏

      I’m going to be trail running in my free time locally. When I travel I only go hiking because I don’t like to risk him getting injured and being so far away from the car. You’ll still get blogs. I’m going to New Hampshire this weekend to hike some small mountains on the 52 with a view list. I’ve log them I plan on vlogging the terrifying 25s.. We are taking a weeks vacation in Maine to finish all of the maine Highpeaks in July which will finish our North East 115. And I do plan on logging t The Bob Marshall and the hut hut since it will be the hardest and most crazy thing I’ve ever done and I want the journey recorded. It won’t be a full on follow me through the blog but it will be more like a gradual how we’re doing what we’re doing how are surviving are we dying kind of update type vlogging lol

    I also bring a bivvy just in case I or someone in my party gets hurt and the temps drop overnight in the Whites.

      When trying to make this video for the start of the season, I forgot to grab that out of the winter pack, which was still set up for use because i recorded this over the winter. But yea map an compass are in the pack always.

    • @mcdsflag
      @mcdsflag 2 роки тому

      Map and Compass are definitely essential. Should also include rain pants, emergency whistle, and signal mirror. A trail guide book and first aid reference are great additions as well. Lastly, a leave no trace ethics and skills reference card is a handy reminder and guide.
