It absolutely works well. On my 16.5ft deep V on top speed it gets around 2.3mph..maybe more with no wind. Great trolling speeds. And it can be turned down to .5 speed so it can be set so casting and moving parallel to the shoreline easy. The GPS spotlock keeps the boat in place. An absolute game changer.
@@FISHNMISFITSJimMattBryanRick That is great to hear! I am planning on getting one. The front deck on my aluminum boat is on the thin side and I am concerned if it can handle the extra weight of the 80lb thrust terrova. Do you remember how heavy your 55lb thrust Terrova felt when you installed it?
Not sure about the weight, but as I remember it didn't seem much different than a regular trolling motor. Placement is important. They make a mounting plate which makes the motor removable for transit.
Only problems I've had is the slot the head tab goes into . Finding slot to get motor working was hard till I noticed the slot is located at the 2 pm position.
@FISHNMISFITSJimMattBryanRick good to know thanks I ended up getting a 24 volt Minkota torova for my dad boat because I couldn't fine a 55 pound thrust Minn Kota terrova where I live
Can you get me some info on your easy access steps you have on the front of your trailer? I would like to install something like that to make getting in and out easier.
My friend bought the MEGA down imagining one. I just didn't need to use that in front of boat. Where I fish, I can get info on my other fish finder and I didn't think I'd really need it. Good question. Maybe once I see my friends in action I'll regret it.
You have some great ideas.
I just ordered a Terrova 55 lb with only remote are all Terrova i-pilot I can't see where it says it's an i pilot
Thank you for the video!
Is the Terrova still working without any issues and is it sufficient in power for your size boat?

@@FISHNMISFITSJimMattBryanRick Alright, thank you for letting me know.
What size battery do you use? I’m thinking of getting one and trying to fine the right battery
I have two 29 Group batteries in parallel for Terrova and a 27 Group for rear kicker motor and a 24 Group starter battery for Mercury 40 hp

I got to say I would have never thought to look at Home Depot, but I will check them out. Your setup looks really good sir. Thank you for your reply.
Well have you taken it out yet?
Yes only once before boat was put away for winter. My follow up video was about how it preformed. Very well. I'm very glad I bought it.
U will run them parallel
Yes and I've been getting great power for all day fun
Just curious why you didn’t buy the Terrova with the built in transducer?

another 60$ for the adapter cable. It’s crap
What is the weight of your boat?
I think around 1500 to 2000..I'm not sure. It holds 4 to 5 people with no problem and I have 4 lead cell batteries in it with gear.
