Tbh I think that Douma just likes to fool around in battles, he loves letting the enemy hit him so that he would know their fight strategy and by doing that he can easily predict their moves and finish them off. That's really smart considering the fact that most of the people think that he is dumb just because he always smiles and acts stupid while he is actually a smart villian with a great strategy.
This was awesome. Honestly if Shinobu didn't think so far ahead and sacrifice herself, Douma would've been a HUGE problem and the demons would have won in the end.
Douma would be able to counter Akaza’s compass because hes apathetic. He won’t see him as a threat or even have the will to fight him. He doesnt feel emotion nor does he have any will to battle. Plus he is faster and ranged, so Akaza would have issues getting close to him. Douma really is an op villain.
Honestly, in terms of personality, I think Dōma surpasses both Muzan and Kokushibo as a demon. His heartless-manianc aura is enough to chill the opponent, he does not even require his blood demon art for that!

IDK why some people think that gyomei can kill douma it clearly stated that no hashira could 1v1 a uppermoon mostly the 3 strongest ones, ik it took mark muichiro just to kill uppermoon 5 and it took muchiro, sanemi, and gyomei, to take down kokushibo, how the hell is gyomei gonna beat douma in a 1v1 battle.
on the contrary, douma is the only upper moon that would be himejima's counter, just imagine if he hadn't been poisoned, and would have faced himejima instead of shinobu; the battle would be good but only while douma plays and has fun. Well, as we saw in kanao vs douma, douma only juice did not give all its power, note that only leaving 2 dolls was enough for them to retain and kill inosuke and kanao. imagine the great budda statue that douma would have used together with 5 dolls and icy cloud one after another?, himejima could not see the dust, kanao barely saw him with his great eyesight and inosuke with his arachnid alert. gyomei would have lost fast unlike kanao. kokushibo is a sword and sword combat type so himejima is the perfect opponent for (Akasa, gyotaru, 5 moon, 4 current moon (not biwa) and kokushibo).

I'm sure that Douma is a billion times stronger and faster than Akaza, and not because he is higher in rank, I think everyone knows about his abilities. Personally, my opinion is that Akaza has no chance against Douma, it’s just that if Douma didn’t play and fought seriously, there wouldn’t be a wet spot left for Akaza
