This puzzle emphasizes the "Think outside the box" phrase within the box.
Yeah....
Very good point. And if I may add, it also illustrates how people themselves add additional instructions that were never given. Funny how we try and solve problems with constraints that never existed but were made up by us.
Omg that’s exactly what I thought
E Err
@@edgarmachado6008 That is because(or at least I think it’s why) our brain has to process things to try and make sense of them so we unconsciously hold ourselves to a standard or sense or normal. Think about it like this, you have 10 apples for ten days of a journey in the desert. Most people would automatically think “huh so and apple a day” and would hold themselves to that standard and restrict themselves from eating more than on a day even though no one said that was the case and they could have eaten whenever they were hungry so they didn’t run out of energy one day but, their unconscious self thought that that restriction would save them from missing a day without food on the journey. Anyways I was just putting my thoughts out their and this puzzle REALLY TRIGGERED ME because of that brain instinct of wanting things to match up and make sense. This could be another way of the brain trying to not delve into insanity when figuring out certain truths. Have a good day!

@@Rainbow_Flakes lol as a kid I understand what they said as literal. You can see it as showing a lack of understanding or you can see that the direction was false in itself. When giving direction to that which its outcome is crucial would it be best to use whimsical wording or wordplay? Or would it be better to be properly worded? I was pointing out that the directions had flaws and or in the case of the puzzle that the obvious assumed direction was flawed.
