Sonus faber uses an interesting technique in the Lumina series speakers to achieve natural-sounding highs. They call it the D.A.D. dome, or Damped Apex Dome. They add some damping at the apex of the soft-silk tweeter to minimize distortion, and as a result the highs are pleasing but never fatiguing.
