I was really in love with this girl and this was our song she made for s Playlist. I got ghosted and I heard she got married. I hope she's happy out there somewhere. This takes me back to our happy times together ❤️
Okay let's get this straight, if I had to choose one homemade video of a song on UA-cam I would choose this one. I love this, I've been watching this video since 2011 and I still find it amazing. The light, the setting, the girls, the atmosphere.... If you guys who made this ever read this comment, I am giving you my best compliments on this video... Great job!
I always sing this song to my dog because I like the part when she says "words can never make up for what you do" since my dog can't tell me what I mean to him.
🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️😷😷😷
My first love showed me this song. Obsessed with it 12 years later. Just started talking to her just recently and she's still got that beautiful old soul. Sent her this song hopefully she enjoys it as much as I still do.
This song makes me cry like a little bitch cause all I can see is my momma dancing smiling in whatever you consider heaven to be.thank you I know she's adore this song.
Having trouble telling how I feel But I can dance, dance, dance Couldn't possibly tell you how I mean But I can dance, dance, dance So when I'm tripping my feet, look at the beat The words are written in the sand When I'm shaking my hips, look for the swing The words are written in the air Ooh dance, I was a dancer all along Dance, dance, dance Words could never make up for what you do Easy conversations, no such thing No, I'm shy, shy, shy My hips they lie cause in reality I'm shy, shy, shy So when I'm tripping my feet, look at the ground The words are written in the dust When I'm shaking my hips, look for the swing The words are written in the air Ooh dance, I was a dancer all along Dance, dance, dance Words could never make up for what you do Ooh dance, I was a dancer all along Dance, dance, dance Words could never make up for what you do Ooh dance, I was a dancer all along Dance, dance, dance Words could never make up for what you do Dance, dance, dance Dance, dance, dance Dance, dance, dance Dance, dance, dance Dance, dance, dance Dance, dance, dance Dance, dance, dance Dance, dance, dance Dance, dance, dance Dance, dance, dance
I'm a big black man from america, and I am happy that I did the same thing as this young girl while I was in copenhagen. We must never lose our joy, as it spreads to others around us. Dance dance dance
This is a beautifully made video. I especially love the scenes where the model/actress is spinning in what seems a small enclosure of brick walls. The contrasting colors - blue walls/surroundings, red dress and orange hair - are so amazing. I absolutely adore this song and believe this video captures the overall feel and essence the lyrics and simplicity in the sounds portray. Very impressive. Love the video. Love Lykke Li. I have favorited this video.
It was "Dancer" that brought me here. I love the film and have watched it many times. Was a dancer in my childhood youth, but unlike Sergei's parents, mine wouldn't lift a finger to help tho they took great joy in bragging about having a daughter who people admired for her dancing talent. Dancing and training in ballet since I was 5 years old. At age 11, when I was admitted to the New York City Ballet training school (the US equivalent to Britain's Royal Ballet at the time), I had to go by myself to downtown Brooklyn on the NYC subway in the late afternoon after school and come home on it alone after dark. Tho I was 11 turning 12, I was not yet physically maturing. I was a late "bloomer" physically and still looked like a little girl of 9 or 10 years of age, One night, a man saw me walking home from the subway alone in the dark and tried to "befriend" me and convince me to come with him. Fortunately, I had good instincts and didn't respond. And fortunately, where we were walking, there were some other people around. So he gave up. If he had walked with me a couple of blocks more, we would have been in a dark place and no one around. I was lucky he didn't kidnap me. I told my parents when I got home; my dad called the police. They came to the house but it became clear my dad just wanted the attention for himself. So they questioned me but there was little I could tell them. There was not much I could say about what the man looked like. So the police just left. After that, my mother still made me go alone to the ballet school. I started resisting going. I didn't understand why at that time - I loved dance, ballet and modern - I didn't understand till decades later that I was resisting due to fear because of what happened to me. But my mother told me that if I didn't go, I'd have to give up ballet. I loved ballet so much. I started dancing when I was 3, just like Sergei and I couldn't stop. I would dance anywhere and everywhere, in stores, while online for the movies, and people's homes. But somehow, I couldn't make myself go to the ballet school. I grieved giving up ballet. When I reached 14 years old, finally physically maturing, having grown over 8 inches, I was no longer afraid to go places by myself. I started to take ballet classes again, but I lost much of my talent. You have to be dance training all through your childhood physical maturity so your muscles and agility grow properly for dance. It was too late by the time I felt old enough and savvy enough to go on my own. I grieved the loss of my dance life for years, But while in college, I developed academic inclinations and went on into university academia. It was then I was able to let go of the grief of losing dance. Because I knew then that one's dancing career and abilities started to decline after 30 - whereas intellectual pursuits lasted a lifetime. I am about to turn 75 and I am still teaching and writing and publishing. I am also very physically active. But I still miss dance. And I have watched "Dancer" many times over. I watched it again tonight and this time, sought out this song. Glad to have found it.

I love how at the end she's dancing past all those different people and some of them are flat-out sprinting to their train or whatever. Also, when she's in front of the cafe, she's sort of dancing like she's going to bump into this one guy and he's giving her this look like "that bitch better not bump into me!" lol
the first ii ever heard lykke it was this song but it was on s sidewalk in a city and a fan wad hollering in their direction and her percussionist was playing on the rail and playing a tiny keyboard for percussion . i was transformed nothing has been the same since ii play four of her song regularly at events, this one included, they do get requested even tho my audience is unfamiliarity with lykke. all of her air-play is in the over-sea.

Jakub Wrona Nah, some songs by Lykke Li appeared in my Pandora playlist some time ago. Then when i was watching this episode i was like "Is this Lykke Li playing in the background? Gotta check".
this is a great video, and an amazingly cute, positive song, sooo far away from all the spears, aguilera, gaga and such....THANKS LYKKE LEE for making real music fun and awesome.....U got another fan!!!!!
The song itself sounds like it's being sung by a kid, imo. So, childish, innocent-style dancing fits, I think. Dancing is simply a form of self-expression, after all. I don't think the director was really going for a Michael Jackson style music video =)
This is the best song to listen to on a sad day. It literally makes you smile and you all of a sudden forget about your worries.
U still alive my guy ?
And I think Elvis Costello for some weird reason while listening to this.
If u see this, please remind me!!

lykke li and her amazing music brought me here
Just because she doesn't move like beyonce doesn't mean she's not dancing. There's something beautifully sincere about this video and I like it :)
Essa garota é demais. Há tempos que ouço suas músicas e não enjoo.
Dance dance dance, tonight e possibility são as melhores.
Having trouble telling how I feel
But I can dance, dance, dance
Couldn't possibly tell you how I mean
But I can dance, dance, dance
So when I'm tripping my feet, look at the beat
The words are written in the sand
When I'm shaking my hips, look for the swing
The words are written in the air
Ooh dance, I was a dancer all along
Dance, dance, dance
Words could never make up for what you do
Easy conversations, no such thing
No, I'm shy, shy, shy
My hips they lie cause in reality
I'm shy, shy, shy
So when I'm tripping my feet, look at the ground
The words are written in the dust
When I'm shaking my hips, look for the swing
The words are written in the air
Ooh dance, I was a dancer all along
Dance, dance, dance
Words could never make up for what you do
Ooh dance, I was a dancer all along
Dance, dance, dance
Words could never make up for what you do
Ooh dance, I was a dancer all along
Dance, dance, dance
Words could never make up for what you do
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Dance, dance, dance
Having troubles telling how I feel, but I can dance, dance, dance;
Couldn't possibly tell you how I mean, but I can dance, dance, dance.
Hell yeah!!
Keep doing it girl. Never stop dancing even when others tell you to stop.

Lykke li,regina spektor, cat power,KT Tunstall and norah jones I think are the goddess of music
this reminds me of when i was a kid, i remember playing with my skirt and spinning and not knowing how to really dance but wanting to anyway :)

Its about time some new music that doesn't sound like a 130 beats per minute crammed into 3 minutes to make a single. Thanks Ms. Li!
i like how she says dance, dance, dance. :)
This looks like it might have been shot at Copenhagen's main train station. Wonderful song by the way...

Jakub Wrona
Nah, some songs by Lykke Li appeared in my Pandora playlist some time ago. Then when i was watching this episode i was like "Is this Lykke Li playing in the background? Gotta check".
***** That's exactly what came acrross my mind when i was seenig that episode...one of those moments where you smile knowing the song :D
***** I guess your music taste doesn't catch up with manners and communication skills.
Josh H, you are the epiphany of a hipster douchebag. Congratulations.
the saxophone playing half way through, just great !
this is a great video, and an amazingly cute, positive song, sooo far away from all the spears, aguilera, gaga and such....THANKS LYKKE LEE for making real music fun and awesome.....U got another fan!!!!!
That's not dancing, she's just spinning in one spot
A3DFX Dance, is an expression she is expressing her dancing in a different way.
There is numerous meanings behind the word dance.
you'd think they could have gotten someone who could actually dance. Not just twirl around or shuffle her feet :(
The song itself sounds like it's being sung by a kid, imo. So, childish, innocent-style dancing fits, I think. Dancing is simply a form of self-expression, after all. I don't think the director was really going for a Michael Jackson style music video =)
its for the effect, just simply shaking her hips moving in the air
the coat is soooo beautiful!^^ ♥
Had to look them up after the Bing commercial. Great song!
lovley song. sweet video ! :)
I like how the birds are flying around her while shes dancing.
Kopenhagen train station?? ahh. memories :) underlined with this fantastic song!

A garota que fez esse vídeo para a música é sensacional! Ficou tão nostálgico quanto a música. Amo demais! ❤
Essa mulher é uma deusa!!!!
