    * A new calf was born unexpectedly out of the usual breeding season due to a bull escaping and impregnating a cow.
    * The cow will now produce ample milk throughout the summer.
    Farm Maintenance and Management:
    * Regular farm maintenance includes power washing cow cubicles to prevent disease and topping fields to manage weeds and improve pasture quality.
    Silage and Grass Management:
    * The farm acquired 70 bales of silage and plans to produce more from their own cuttings to ensure sufficient feed for the cows.
    * Grass from local areas is also used as cow feed, despite occasional contamination from waste.
    Milk Recording and Quality Control:
    * Progressive Genetics conducts milk recording and pregnancy tests every six weeks to monitor milk production, fat and protein content, and cow health.
    * Samples are taken and tested to ensure quality and productivity.
