It is great to see the old black and white footage of Diana now emerging in her 1950s heyday thanks to the internet and those who upload it for her many fans to see . Diana was immensely talented and a natural born beauty who did not have to undergo plastic surgery to enhance her looks .. One recently watched Diana turning up at film premieres in her skin tight Darnell of London gowns looking totally ravishing with tens of fans looking on in awe . Those days have long gone now and we just have the very tacky eight day wonder untalented celebrities these days unfortunately.
She is beautiful, She is one of my favorite actress from Golden Age Era. I have a lot of favorite actresses and actors from Golden Age of Hollywood than Hollywood now a days
Diana had a sunny and cheerful demeanor when she did stuff like this…unfortunately, behind the scenes, her personal life was messy and unhappy. But sadly that was true for Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield too. The life of a blonde bombshell was not all glamor.
Diana Dors was never trying to be a rival to Marilyn and it’s lazy journalism to pretend so just because she had blonde hair and a voluptuous, fuller figure. Diana started out in serious films under Sir David Lean directing her in Oliver Twist, as a teenager. She played working class girls, bad girls, good girls gone bad, molls, scheming girls and criminals. Her best role ever was as a young woman sentenced to hang. Her roles and screen persona was totally different to Marilyn’s, she never did the baby doll voice of Marilyn or Jayne Mansfield. She’s maybe more in the Joan Collins mould, but Rada-trained Joan often played more upper class parts, Diana did not. Where there were similarities with Marilyn is that Diana was quick-witted and amusing (Joan too, still is!) and she used modelling shots, red carpet gown appearances and any publicity to boost her career and, in Diana’s case, to reveal she wasn’t a bad girl as in the movies but classy and intelligent, in her later years she was a brilliant guest on TV talk shows.

@@sandaglad thank you ✓✓
All respect to the dead, but if The Entire British Empire hadn't backed her, Diana Dors would have been 3rd female billing, at best, in America
dopey comment
Rude comment
@@ericindallas5293 Re-reading this, I agree. Nonetheless: my opinion
Marilyn never had to worry about her place as the ultimate blonde sex symbol
too bad MM wasn't a better singer
@@shostakov66 the least of her problems :)
Dors was considered better than Monroe
