    homemade pear cider sounds good. I have never heard of that.

    Did you rinse the turkey after you brined it? I thought that was an important step in the brining process.

      I did not. That step is to remove a lot of excess salt in a traditional brine. I wanted all those extra flavors in my liquid to stay as intact as possible. I also did not add additional salt to the rub. I would not change the process for this recipe :) -Cara
