In this video we review the Dirt Devil SimpliStik 3-in-1 Corded Handheld Stick Vacuum SD20000RED.
I've had a couple of these, and I like them. The camera man needs to keep his mouth shut. He continually interrupts the one demonstrating, which would have caused me to break his jaw after the video ended if I were demonstrating.

@@barbarasnyder2385 There is this bit that you push down so that you can pull stick out. The piece with the wheels also has a button to push to remove. One removing those parts you have hand held vaccum. I rated this vaccum at 240watts. It's best to buy these things from Walmart because of there generous return policy. If not purchased from Walmart or return is a hassle then call dirt devil.
Got mine for free from a thrift store that was closing and everything had to go. Great vacuum. My wife has back issues and I have some health issues, it's great for people who physically can't lift heavier vacuums. Even if I had to get one new, I would.

April 6, 2017. As demonstrated (I have one) it works wood and/or flat tile floors. One can add some replaceable Velcro occasionally to the bottom are with the harsh-teeth-like Velcro facing out. This has helped me as I was vacuuming hard surface floors and up lifting any partials that might be stuck to the floor. Add a spray of deodorizer into the canister to add a pleasant sent to the air as vacuuming. Thank you kindly for the demonstrating I did learn something I need to know how to remove the stuck bottom. I actually have one of these and I really like it. It works great on my tile floors and good on my low pile carpet for quick cleanup (not for regular vacuuming). I have a textured front door mat that this cleans better than my regular vac. I watched this video because I couldn't remember how to remove the vacuum head to use as a handheld vacuum. For $20 I think this a good buy.
I bought this item 3 years ago and it is good for small things but nothing like big piles basically it's good for quick stuff and that's about it things that you can clean or something like cleaning around drapes or other areas for $20 I am not too disappointed or when I bought this thing it was about $25

I love mine! I had two Bissels, replaced them with three Red DEvil's because of better suction AND versatility..

So, I'm glad I bought mine. It's durable and easy to assemble. Heck, any vacuum would be challeged to suck up gum from a shag carpet, or paper clips that attach themselves to rugs and carpets like velcro! Sheez, ask Mr. Dysen!

This is a great video. This is written after reading other reviews. The man in the background unanimously needs to go back into his hole. My verdict: for what it is “intended” to do, it is great. AND, the young man is awesome! He is real, believable and - if the background guy could have kept his mouth shut - a joy to listen to and watch!

It works great for dust and hair fluff on hard surfaces and has a decent amount of power. I disagree with your poor rating.
Before I saw this video review, this is exactly why I bought it for my 15 month old grandson that likes to help me vacuum. I bought a toy one that made no noise and he wasn't having it. loving this one though.

I agree with the comment below. It should've been used on a hard surface since that is it's main use. Also the person in the background was kind of annoying. I feel like he made the video longer just by adding his two cents every time. And the poor guy actually doing the review was trying to reason with him and be more positive.

This video takes way too long to get to the point.
We have hardwood floors in our apartment and only a few small accent rugs so we bought this vacuum and it's only OK. I find that using the vacuum alone on the floor is not enough. So I have to use a push broom to get the debris into one pile and then I use the edging tool on the vacuum to suck it up. Also this vacuum does not suck up debris from our rugs which is rather disappointing and frustrating. You also have to constantly empty the debris container. For what it was worth, this vacuum will have to do. But dammit, being poor sucks -_-

The test should have also been done on different types of floors and in a car to give it a fair enough test. I found it at the Family Dollar for $10.00 & wanted to get reviews on it before I bought it. I will check other UA-cam videos 1st for those that tested it out on hardwood and vinyl flooring before I give up. This just shows me it's not ideal for carpet, low or high pile; next time do the above for a thorough test. But thanks all the same for your review.
Great review. Was considering this for my room for the price, but not anymore. Maybe another Dirt Devil or Eureka?

I own one of these, but I also own a BISSELL CleanView 1330. This SimpliStick is much quieter than the Bissell, so that probably means BISSELL is CRAZY loud indeed...
No wonder my cats want to crawl up the walls when they hear that one. 😬

I have one for ten years , I find it very useful to clean my chair . It is inexpensive and works well. I would recommend it .
Mine just stopped working right now. started using it like 4 months ago and haven't even used 10 times
I love red, they nailed it with the colour though.
I hav a great response from it on removing hair, including pet fur. Perhaps an in vivo experiment would have been best. but truthfully, it is a helluva lot easier for me but truthfully, it is a helluva lot easier for me to use than broom, dustpan, and does work better.

thanks for the review although at 100dB I strongly recommend against giving to a kid as a toy, given the hearing damage it'll do over time.

What if the handle was assembled before it was attached to the base? Is there a way to take it apart without breaking it?

Well, you talked me out of it. I think I'll just try to fix my old Dirt Devil Extreme Cyclonic Quick Vac Bagless Upright Vacuum, UD20010, or buy a new one. The UD20010 seems much better than the SD200000000000.
@Steve Levine: This vaccum in the video is mostly for hard wood because the plastic won't scratch.
@@gotsm9959, I forgot I posted that four years ago. It was just three months ago that I replaced my 9-1/2 year old UD20010 with a new UD20124.

A Shaded Reflection, keep the filter clean and empty out the dirt cup on a regular basis.
