"Thank you !!" From the White Mountains in New Hampshire, a big thank you for the look into the history of tourism in your beautiful state. And what a wonderful tour it is!
I was blessed to live in Grand County from 1988-1990. Our local civic group Grand County resources for youth won an award from the Governor for community of the year for helping youth be drug free.
Truly enjoyed my 'Rocky Mountain High' (John Denver) upon my travels south from Minot AFB - Minot, North Dakota . . . after my Honorable Discharge from the Air Force. Unfortunately departed Colorado in 1989. Others emigrated to Colorado, to such extremes that the Denver metropolis has become overwhelmed in population. Ran races in Colorado . . . Pikes Peak Marathon, Manitou Springs and Bolder Boulder, Boulder . . . on Memorial Day. Hit the Rockies with Outward Bound amongst the collegiate peaks above Leadville . . . in the dead, of winter. Learned all about cross country skiing, and, one's personal limits carrying one's load . . . amongst the Collegiate Peaks ! 😎
I don’t know what it is can’t explain it but every since I was exposed to Colorado and was blessed to go there on vacation to actually see it I have a tugging in me every time Colorado’s mention that makes me yearn for Colorado living,it’s more than words can explain it’s the fingerprint of God. I hope the people who live understand and cherish it without contaminating it allowing pot smokers and people who don’t have any respect for their own temple moving out there because they can smoke weed to me that’s a crying shame out of all the state why would they legalize marijuana in Colorado. Makes know sense to me. A piece of Colorado living that is what I yearn for.
You are aware that Colorado mountain towns are infamous for the amount of cocaine available? Legalization of cannabis is a tax generator. Now, at concerts, pot smokers can be told to smoke outside just like cigarette smokers. Dispensaries actually close, unlike dealers. Do I smell more? Yeah. Grow houses smell like a platoon of skunks dead on a road. People’s coats reek in winter. But overall, and I don’t go into dispensaries myself, it’s not much more consumption, aside from pot tourists. Like drinkers, pot smokers just use or misuse according to their own willpower and wiring. Just like everywhere else.
I have now watched at least half a dozen of videos of this great Colorado Experience series, but this one is unfortunately disappointing. Too much lingering on one location only!
An excellent bit of Colorado history.
I lived in Steamboat Springs for many years, a wonderful place.
Love this u-tube channel!!!😁🙆♀️🙅♀️👍🖖

We have got to quit calling Americans who came west pioneers they didn’t pioneer anything.
So what should we call the ones who came before us?
@@carywest9256 pioneer implies they were first they discovered something. How about illegal alien’s Americans like that term
@@sigp3657
You might want to look up the meaning of 'pioneer'.
@@mousetreehouse6833 yeah Americans were not the first to explore or settle this land maybe you should look it up
@@carywest9256 you can try illegal immigrant
