This comes with a trade off. We won't get taxed from our income, but instead of paying taxes on our purchases, we would be paying TARIFFS on any product NOT MADE IN THE US. That's ALOT of products we would be paying more for basically everything that isn't food and perishables. HOWEVER, this would force companies to start making U.S branches of their factories here, which would EVENTUALLY bring down costs of those products AND help our economy and job market.
The problem is that long term could be decades. American companies have spent decades moving their infrastructure overseas, it would take at least another decade to get a decent manufacturing base back home. Could Americans push through that? I don't think so.

Probably move to a flat tax. Sales tax would go up maybe 10% instead of 6%. You buy more you pay more taxes. Makes it fair for everyone
