I was there, I turned 50 and I tried to do 12 gigs in 12 months. I did 11. I saw them last year also and I managed to get my tickets signed by Martin Fry after the gig.
I utterly adore ABC . . . Finally saw them In Sunderland a couple of years back. Electrifying to say the least. Martin - his voice just gets better. I’d have paid a fortune to have been there that night xx
Just before the Pandemic i rhino it was I saw them in the Royal Albert Hall, London. I was hanging around outside hoping to see the band come out. I was told they weren't leaving and had no idea what door they would leave by. The security guard asked me to move my car so I did, I said I was hope to get my tickets signed. She went off for a second and came back and said follow me, Im a wheelchair user and I follower her right around the Hall until I could hear lots of noise. I gave her my sharpie and 2 tickets. Give me 2 minutes, she went in and came out in less than 2 minutes with both my tickets signed by Martin Fry. As you can imaging I went home very happy.
@@Badger66 I've seen them about 3 times over the last 5 years. For Martin Fry to sign my tickets was just amazing. I'll pay to see them over and over because their music is still brilliant, and I've always been a fan
I close my eyes and im back in the summer of 82...love and the summer just burst into life...
Beautiful Anne Dudley string arrangement. An absolutely timeless classic of a song.

Just saw Mr. Fry at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA. No string section or female backup singers, but was still magic.
I really wanted to be there for that gig. Must have been a very very special night.
