Battery Charger Upgrade - Rectifier swap and constant power
I did this hack a few years ago but my original rectifier was only rated around 5amps and I think we eventually burned it out by switching the charger to 10 amps. I ordered these 50amp rectifiers a few years ago and they were sitting on the shelf. I decided this was the weekend I would "git r done".
This is an easy fix or upgrade for this style of battery charger just make sure it is unplugged!

Yep definitely going to make heat doesn't matter if it's rated for 50 amps a good heat sink is not a bad idea but they generally just bolt them to the case which seems to be fine
