That is one great looking truck.I started on a 1971 Diamond Reo with a Cummins 903 v8,then moved into a 1974 with 350 hp. Cummins, those were the good old days.

Super rare truck with a classic Jimmy sound. Looks unreal.

Sounds like a 653 GM maybe ? I'm in Australia...we've always had lotsa' KW's/ Mack here. Had a few Rio tippers but not many prime movers. Dig seeing these ol' rigs ; but really the general appearance of a cab over modern Kenworth isn't too dissimilar to this beautiful truck.

@@terrycarthy4433 Yes I'm from Brisbane trying to keep the dream alive. These look a bit like White Road Commanders. In 10 -15 years time everything will be electric so we're running out of time for the Diesel enthusiasts.

@@andrewking4885 ; hi Andrew...thanks for ya' post..I'm from Melbourne; can remember a few Diamond Rio's here - as I wrote previously- as tippers in the 70's when yours truely was but a child (of a truck driver). Uncle has possibly the largest private truck collection in the nation with some 70+ prime movers, $600k shed to house 'em !! But not sure he has any Rio's (got a '70 cab over White...pretty rare). I'm a fan of Road Boss/ Commanders too...they built 'em in Qld huh ?

Beautiful truck. Beautiful engine sound. There is no better motor music than a two stroke Detroit. Especially in a beautiful truck.

I bet that semi turns a lot of heads because Diamond Reo cabovers are super rare nowadays.

I would've thought that the Detroit in that truck was strong enough to wave those rain caps at least one of the three times the fuel was put to her...not sounding right
