Love this video. I am so confused on what to plant. I am cutting down 3 female Texas/Southern Live oaks that are making my life hell. They are over 40 years old, TONS of acorns and ruining my house and concrete. Do you have any advice on fruitless/NUTLESS shade trees, not very tall that are low maintenance and no suckers? I am desperate for a low maintenance tree that I can use to replace two of these trees in the front yard.
Looking for something drought and heat resistant for upstate SC soil. Less than 20 ft maturity and something that’s not dropping nuts or anything on my lawn. Don’t mind bagging leaves but my pecan tree is a pain.
